So, Rixy, is this Boreas pretty sturdy, then? As in it will last for a long time? 'Cuz if I ever graduate to claptons or other exotic coils, it would be nice to have one tank at least that could handle it. Maybe I'll never make it to the "big deck," but it's nice to know that I might have something that will still allow me to "grow into" it, you know?
The one I don't understand is "might could." "Might" implies maybe, and "could" implies definitely. It's always confused me! LOL! But I'm a Yank, born and bred...
Something I have not seen mentioned Lannie is how the deck of the Boreas goes into the chamber.
As you see, there is two notches that in real life are smaller and hard to see if you are not looking for them, the notches on the deck must line up with the notched of the chamber. The bottom cap will screw on with them not lines up but can allow your juice to not form a vacuum in the tank and puke everywhere.
Also, make sure the top cap is on all the way. Filling from the top cap is very easy as long as you ALWAYS close the juice/air control ring and then you can still get a little bit of leakage from it initially.
I am running mine on the large hole decks with 3mm 26ga SS 316L 10 wrap spaced coils and rayon. I always trim my tails even with the bottom of the outside of the deck then tuck them down under the coils. I ran 70VG/30PG and higher VG juices and never had an issue. Using the smaller holed decks I have had issues with dry hits while chain vaping at 65 watts and even while vaping in TC mode. If you use 50/50 juice or higher PG then maybe the smaller holed decks might work better, I donno.

By the way, I did get the deck seated correctly, with the notches and all. My coils right now are 26g Kanthal, 7 wraps each, 3mm diameter. But I'm going to put similar coils into the smaller deck after chores today and see how that works. Thanks for the wicking tip.

Do a 10 wrap coils in it. Trust me on this
When I first got my two boreas i did a 24 guage kanthal 7 wrap on one and 24 ga kanthal 10 wrap on the other. Both 3mm size. The 10 wrap one was far superior flavor to me.

And everytime I fill my tank with this juice I have to come here and say it again, peach and menthol rocks ! This flavor works better in the Boreas than the Gemini, now the Boreas has more flavor. Round and round I go in my little vaping world
In my defence though, some juices are better at higher wattage.
Really nice !!! and you have given me an idea, wouldn't this work so well in the Boreas, cause it needs so much wick, wouldn't this be the perfect coil for it and increase flavor...Hmmm, I will have to try it.
