For .5 single, it would be 4 wraps of 28g, or ~7 for 26g, so either will work for you
28gtrying to figure out what size(s) wire to get. I need a single coil build for the merlin...... and need a dual coil build for the derringer clone
ok kewl. Glad I asked. Was thinking I might need 28 and 26
Using SS316L, correct? On the merlin .5 will be easy enough with the 26 gage. For dual coils to come out to .5, each of em will need to be 1.0ohm, so you might need thinner wire for the derringer, don't know how much room there is to work with in that one. You could wrap bigger coils or more wraps if there is enough room. But even at 3.5mm you'd still need 12 wraps each with 26 gage. I'd say try 28 gage, or maybe even 30 if space is limited.I don't want to do twisted. I want .5 ish I think for both of them. Don't want to buy wire I don't need, but dunno if 26 would be better or 28 or if I need some of each. I want .5 for a single, and .5 net for duals
There's a lady on the porches that loves the Hex Ohm and has several. Have a good time at the meet. I've never had much interest in those other than to maybe meet other vapers, but hope you enjoy it!
I thought NY didn't allow walmarts, but maybe that was NYC, or maybe they finally changed that
oh wowNY actually LOVES Walmart. Your never far from a Walmart in Upstate NY. I bet in a 1 hour radius I have 30 Walmart supercenters and wouldn't be surprised if it was 50.
Enjoy your few days off and enjoy the slam buddyAhhhhhhhhhhhhh, fresh off a 15 day run of overtime. Got a couple days to recharge then back at it. I remember moving to the city off the farm thinking how factory life would be easy. What I didn't understand was on the farm we'd stop and talk to the seed salesman under a shade tree but in a factory they feed you into the grindstone non-stop. Farm life was much better. Factory life pays much better.
Vaporslam is in town. And I'm gonna be there. Well its not in town its in Syracuse but I'll drive there. When I say I live in a city I mean group of houses and a Walmart. Syracuse is of the murders and homeless type of city.
Don't know what to expect of a vape event but I expect to have a good time. I see the Hex Ohm people are sponsors so wonder if a HO will follow me home..................
Hex ohms hit hard and are very nice ! I like the look of their new beta version too..There's a lady on the porches that loves the Hex Ohm and has several.
I've never understood what "hits hard" means. Maybe it's because all my power supplies have a good output. Don't know.Hex ohms hit hard and are very nice ! I like the look of their new beta version too..

There is a voltage cut off on the beta version..I've never understood what "hits hard" means. Maybe it's because all my power supplies have a good output. Don't know.
I do like that the Hex just has a dial and no numbers. Just turn it up till you're happy.
A battery low voltage cutoff would be nice though.
That makes sense. I don't have any mods that suckThere is a voltage cut off on the beta version..
As for hits hard I just mean that....lets take the rx200 as a prime example, your first hit has less power than your second hit to reach x amount of set wattage, the Hex ohm hits your set wattage instantly without any delay. To replicate it on the Smok H Priv, I have to set the wattage to max, where as it puts 10% more wattage through, a bit like a boost for x amount of seconds. The DNA 200 doesn't suffer from that at all which is another reason I love them.. The hex ohm isn't restricted by the board. Well that's how I see it, maybe I'm talking a load of dribble lol.
Oh my Dog!!!Limitless RDTA ...
Flavor, flavor and more flavor, basic SS Clapton, 8 wrap spaced dual 3mm.. It works very well on the Priv mod due to having to do the genesis lean with this type of tank. I really like this one, so easy to wick, it reminds me of an upside down Boreas but with more flavor due to the coils being much closer to your mouth, it's such a good tank. I had to turn the airflow down on this one, it's basically a Velocity RTA but with a tank, yeah that's exactly what it's like and with dripper flavor to match.
I have seen some putting the wicks into the glass tank, I wouldn't wick it like that, I cut the wicks flush with the top of the tank, works really well... A couple of cons for me which I have fixed, those grub screws are a bit meh, I replaced them with some steam crave grub screws and the second being that moonshot style drip tip, luckily the Griffin wide bore tip fits or any tips from the Kennedy 22/24 or Goon fits.. You can also use the adapter from the griff and use a standard one but for this type of tank, even the dotmod wide bore isn't wide enough.
Some reviewers said there was no spare glass, mine had one included ! Probably just the free reviewers version, yeah...enough said.
Some don't like the side fill, I think it's fine, just pop the top cap up a bit and fill, in saying that, droppers can be messy so I just use a needle style thingy.
What I can say is that this doesn't leak, not even tipping it upside down or on it's side...
What it has done is dilute the flavor of the Boreas, vaping them side by side, the Limitless is the clear flavor winner and cloud winner but then it's not really fair to compare them as they are completely difference style tanks.. I can only imagine putting some flat Claptons in there would increase the flavor even more.....as they have done in the Boreas. I know I keep barkin on about the flavor but my watermelon tutti frutti juice kicks .... in the limitless, the watermelon comes through way more.. You can build some pretty big coils in this too with it's 19mm deck, it has def took the beast title away from the Boreas, it's such an easy deck to build on too..
To touch on the Smok H Priv, for the money it is a great mod, I carried it around all day yesterday, it never fired in my pocket once, even when drunk, well I don't think it did, my wicks were fine this morning anyway lol. Don't let the fire trigger put you off either, you can fire it with your thumb or finger at the top if you so wish too but I do like to just squeeze it, kind of a man thing, grab n vape cave man fashion. There's no delay, seems like a good board, really nice weight to it, lighter than the x cube 2 which was just too heavy. My only really small con is the battery door at the bottom, you have to line it up just right and slide it on, nit picking really though, I will def pick up a few more of these..Oh and updating this, there must be some sort of error on the Smok website, I did hear there new 1.1.10 firmware was bricking devices so they must of pulled the firmware to work on, luckily with some hunting around I was able to use the Numicro program and install a custom 1.1.1 firmware. The only reason I wanted to update it was because the out of the box 1.0.4 firmware has the firing delay bug which I'm pleased to say has now gone..
