Here is what stops me from doing that. You can buy the chip for $40, and then the rest of the stuff or go the other route and get everything for $70. OR you can buy an already made ready to go Kbox 120 TC or Wismec 100 TC for $35 - $39, or an istick 100 TC for $33 or many more for just as good of a price. They over priced the chip and made it pointless to build your own in my opinion.

True it is getting much cheaper to buy a manufactured mod. Thing is when you hold one you made yourself it's just truly gratifying. It's nice taking a hit and saying "Yea I made this".

Yep plus I don't like all the fiddly diddly required for the evolv 75/200 chips.
One can get a decent chipset on FT for under $20 for building with.

Once upon a time not too long ago ebay was flooded with DIY boxes that was at a decent price compared to what manufacturers sold boxes for. That isnt so anymore because peeps cant build a regulated or even regulated TC box and beat the price of a manufactured items now.
