I put the Velocity Deck in my new to me Plus on the Minikin with a dual 5/4 wrap 4mm 28x3/36 fused build. There is a tiny little juice well on that deck, but it's keeping up quite nicely at 100W. A wee bit of front overhang on the Minikin V2, but since it's such an excellent mod, it's not even an issue.

3F told me there were production problems getting the authentic Yeti, so I swapped it out for an authentic 24mm Goon instead. Annnnd the package has now shipped!

Too bad. I love my Yeti. In fact it was a die hard Goon fan that told me to skip the Goon and get a Yeti instead.

That Yeti looks alright but I'm not a fan of that style deck. Good is a dream to build on.

I have several Goons both clone and authentic. The Goon is one that clones real well. Little difference in the deck thats an annoyance but not a real problem, otherwise they are the same. Have a clone titanium Goon 1.5 on the way for the Rebel. Light light light!!!

I admit the deck isn't my favorite. Of course prior to this I've only built on velocity style decks. I'm told, though I haven't tried it yet that the Yeti really shines with a single coil build between the posts so the deck wouldn't be bad for that build.

Velocity style isn't my favorite but man they are easy to build on.

I'm torn between bridge style and OG 4 post. Pretty much all my drippers are 4 post. Sqonkers are bridge.

Them two post are a PITA. Petri has them and its worth the effort but not many others.

Never really cared for 3 post but sure did like the TUgboat back in the day.

It should be good, 3F had the authentic on sale for $30 so I grabbed that. I pondered the Ti version for a few moments though...

Lately I've gotten hooked on Raffys Reviews. I can't link as he has a bit of a potty mouth.

I find my self saying bits and bobs and absolutely bob on.

People are looking at me weirder the normal.

Rixta do you talk all British and such?? I'll ask you to call me sometime so I can practice til I'm bob on.

For the record I speak what I think they call Midwestern Plain.

Starts in about Albany NY and goes to about Montana and as far South as maybe Kansas.

This means I have basically no accent and can act as translator for people from say Boston and Alabama. Or Brooklyn and anywhere else.

Trouble with me, I came from a posh, lardi dar upbringing but then spend a lot of time in London so picked up their slang, now it's all mixed together so I'm not sure how I speak now, then of cause my folks were from the black country so that's thrown in there too, I'm a bit of a mongrel.

My Rebel is still saying processing, it takes a while for Alex to ship them, well, usually a week but in my world, that's a long time.

Loving the Goon again but hate dripping still, miss my Trinity cap as well, ah, it's all ordered and will come together soon.

You use a coilmaster, right? Super simple. Before taking it off the mandrel, hold the one leg (the one that goes through the hole in the coilmaster) then grab the other leg and stretch the coil out. After stretching it, push it back together. You'll end up with a spaced coil.
There was also a vid I saw that involved using an extra piece of wire that if you did it right would basically space the coil as you wrapped it, but I don't remember details or where that vid was.

Jup I do, and that's what I did with stretchin it out and mashin it back together, but still musta messed it up.
I've seen the vid you were talkin about, they use a paperclip I think. But with no words, it was just confusing.

good luck........when we had cable phone for the home phone, it was free to call, so tried to call him a couple times, but it never went through for some reason. I keep saying we should all do a google hangout sometime. Would be interesting to hear folks different accents, and see each other in person. Luckily, I have no accent
