I got my zap a couple of days ago. I like it, although I concur that the supplied wicks aren't that great (bright side being at least they came with some.) My question is, can the placement of the wick hole be repositioned or is it just stuck wherever it currently is. Mine is not aligned with the button at all, and I'd prefer it to be aligned.

Lay an o-ring on top of the Provari's top rim, then tighten down the ZAP until it is snug and the wick/airhole aligned where you want it. The floating pin of the ZAP allows some leeway when snugging the ZAP onto the o-ring. You can usually get it aligned w/ the 'button' and/or the 'window' making it more convenient to hold when vaping.

Thanks for the info... What size oring will fit around the Provari top rim?

For the top rim I use:

1x - Danco #35 11/16od x 9/16id x 1/16

To fit inside the drip well

3x - Danco #41 9/16od x 7/16id x 1/16

Each way gives a slightly different fit to get the alignment I want. Not sure but if you have a spare parts kit, the smaller o-rings in the kit might work.

I have a z atty coming. Is it possible to make the supplied wicks better by rolling them tighter?
What I would do is unrolled the 400 mesh wick and roll it around the 325 wick. First you want to roll the 325 real tight tho.
I did that when I first got mine and it worked pretty good.

NO
That is why I said re roll the 325 tighter then roll the 400 tight around that.
I use a 30 cm piece of 500 rolled around a piece of silica wick and make my coils with the Peter-K method.

I will do this. We remove the insulator, right?

I think it arrives tomorrow.

If you are new to genesis style tanks you may want to use a supplied wick or two the way the Zen Master intended to get over any curves that you exp..
The supplied wicks aren't terrible.
Also, try and leave the insulator alone for a bit as you have plenty of time to get and know your new device.

No offense intend, this is just an opinion.
