Strange? I'm using the notch coil, cut the wick so it's about 3/4's of the way in the tank, TC set at 370 deg, wattage at 35 and it's wicking like a fiend!

Yeah, I gotta agree with sawlight. I'm set up pretty much the same, cept went back to power mode. I'm loving the tank design itself, and also the notch coil. Haven't used another set up in over two weeks.

(Also kinda experimenting on the longevity of the notch. So far it's been two weeks and 3 days that its been delivering. Dry burn and rinse after each re-wick and its been good to go.)

Also meant to say: instead of removing the glass when I rewick, I just thread the coil with cotton and cut the ends and then tuck into the chamber. No need to take unnecessary risks if possible.

Mine doesn't leak but then again I never lay my mods on their sides. My usual go-to tank is the Crown with .25 @68 watts. While the Theorem is more work, the flavor and vapor quality is probably the best I've ever had. It's made me interested in transferring entirely over to RTAs, especially in light of the FDA regs and I don't want to be reliant on premade coils.

I bought 2 Theorems and also have issues with 1 of them splitting glass. The first time the glass broke when my girlfriend tried taking it off to re wick. She left it for me to fix. Her replacement glass was crazy tight. Lubing the o rings helped slightly, but the glass broke as soon as I got it on.
Tried again with my spare glass, it lasted less than a day and split.

I've been wondering if the o rings are too thick. They seemed to have mashed down when I slid the sleeved glass on the problem child. I'm vaping it that way and gave the glass friendly one to my GF. Now I need a new TC mod to match the sleeve.

Problems aside, we are both enjoying these enough to consider buying 2 more.

Broken glass #2. This time it was just a small chip on the bottom, but it was enough to make it useless. My o-rings were completely dripping with juice when I put it together. Judging from the damage (and the fact that it wasn't as stuck as the first time), it may have just happened from the glass edge hitting the inner works on the way out.

I'm done with this, it went in the trash. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Is there a similar issue with the Avocado?[/QUO

Well I chipped the my very first glass tank trying to get it off of this PoS Theorem. I really wonder how much input Matt from SMM actually had in the design on this cause it has some really dense features.

Novelty tanks. Oh that's right its a Wismec Product...

I popped in a new build in there, 24g SS316L 8 wraps 2.5mm IAD, wicked it so that it tapers to the middle of the shaft.

Vapes very well, nothing too airy, none of the huge chamber / 20mm drip tip / I need 80W to get vapor kinda vape.

As for the glass problem. I had trouble removing it, what I did was apply downward pressure to the post deck, gently to remove the glass, so far its working.

[edit] forgot to mention I'm doing tc at 440F 25joules preheat on the boxer 26650 sx350j v2.

See, right about now is when we could really make use of a Roxy in the community who could be passing this info straight to Jaybo/Wismec about the fact that the glass clearly needs a revamp. Bummer.

Doesn't really warm ones heart, does it? I replied saying they need to have a look at this thread as there are numerous users with this issue, and one user with two tanks that broke three tank glass in one day.
I'm not very hopeful at this point.

Well, another update to the dog and pony show that is the PoS Theorem. I put the SS sleeved tank on after I broke the first tank. This evening I was going to install a 26g/36g fused Clapton and pulled the SS sleeve right off the glass trying to get the tank off again. No water required @sawlight, while I was pulling on it to get the tank free it started to slide and popped right off...

Another stupid design on the Theorem, the SS sleeve is razor sharp and sits down too far so it will easily cut into the top of your mod without tightening the atty down tight. If the sleeve was a smidgen higher so it wouldn't cut, you would not be able to hold onto the air ring while tightening the top cap.

If I had picked this up at a local B&M it would have been taken back for a full refund by now, but since it was not available locally and came from China, it is not worth the hassle or the wait.


There is light at the end of this dark tunnel though, and I do believe it will bring this steaming pile of stool back to useful status again. While I had the SS sleeve sitting on the table I decided to pull that glass tank off the atty. Taking about a half hour and working carefully not to crack this one, it finally came off in one piece. I dug through the parts box and pulled out a pair of 19x17x1mm Kayfun o-rings to replace the Green Gummy Bear's on the Theorem. Put the tank back on and it has a good stiff hold without being too tight or falling off. If you did hold it by the glass with a mod attached and gave it a flick downward, it would pull free of the base. The friction on those o-rings will be perfectly acceptable for daily use IMHO. If someone has some 1.2mm o-rings to try they would be a little tighter. I changed the top cap o-ring as well so its all matchy matchy, it is a little loose with only one o-ring, so I will try out a few thicker ones.

Give it a try and see how it works out, it's nice to be able to remove the tank like ever other glass compression held tank.

I know they switched the o-rings out very late in the development cycle over customer fears about the glass falling off based on preview pics. I think it's safe to say they overshot the mark, it definitely seems like the o-rings have as much or more responsibility for cracking glass as the glass itself.

For those that suffered breakages, are you ensuring that you are pulling the glass straight off as described earlier in this thread? Have done about 10 removals of the glass with no issues at all and it takes me seconds. Perhaps I have just been lucky.

I was tooling youtube earlier, SEVERAL of the reviewers I saw had problems with the glass breaking on them as well.
I'm thinking you've been lucky. Mine didn't break removing it, it cracked while vaping it. I've also heard, can't prove this in any way, that the early versions had smaller O-rings on them, then they went to a larger O-ring for fear of the glass coming off? That could be part of the problem as well? Again, this is all speculation on my part.

I've had no issues since my very first glass, but that glass literally broke the very first time I went to put it back on after the first build. So yes, the technique is easy to pick up, but yes it is absolutely necessary because that .... will crack at the slightest wrong angle of pressure. The glass is noticeably less thick than many other tanks, so it's not simply a user error. It's a design flaw that's avoidable through careful use, but it's still a flaw. The glass is just not a good match for the o-rings, or vice versa, or both at once.

Haven't had it leak yet, but managed to flood it by leaving it on it's side, full, for about 20min. Didn't take long to get it back, so that was a nice plus.
(I'm trying to put on a cheery face with this thing.)
