Hello everyone!
I'm new to these forums, but I've read just about every troubleshooting thread you guys have posted. I'm so glad there is a decent community for the e-cigs since I have a ton of questions and you all seem extremely helpful and friendly.
I'm sorry for posting a reply here, but I was unable to start a new thread.
I bought an SE 3.0 (RN4081) last week and received it yesterday. As instructed, I impatiently waited for the battery to charge for 8 hours (interminable), I really wanted to try it out. Once it finished charging, I took it home, replaced the atomizer and put in a newly-opened cartridge.
It took a few puffs, and then started worked very well. I spent the next 2-3 hours getting used to the vapor sensation and the new taste (I smoke Camel Light analogs).
I then put the e-cig, fully assembled, back into it's case and placed the second battery into the charger to charge over night.
To my surprise, when I woke in the morning, I was unable to get vapor from the e-cig!
The atomizer would warm up if I puffed on it long enough, and I would occasionally (one in 20 puffs) get a small bit of vapor.
My first thought was that it was a battery problem, (I had not read these forums yet), so I switched out the other battery I had charged all night. I received the same result. The LED would light up when I would take a drag, and the atomizer would warm up quite a bit, but only one small puff of vapor at the start, and then nothing after that.
Distraught, I finally found these forums (cue heavenly music), and read for about 2 hours straight.
I've tried just about anything and everything I found, bar poking something into my atomizer (I didn't want to risk damaging it beyond repair). I cleaned it out, blew on it, "lashed" it, switched out for a brand new cartridge and I still get the same results from my cig.
Is it possible my atomizer is dried out? And if so, I have seen mention of putting liquid/glycerine on it (if I understood correctly) and I was unsure if I could do this with water, or needed to purchase some glycerine, etc.
Is it possible that the 2 carts I used are "dry" or faulty? Is there a way to wet the cart correctly?
I am sorry for the massive wall of text, but I am extremely curious about this product and determined to make it work. And I see tons of you on the forums that are extremely happy with your product and I want to be happy like you!
If you can offer any advice, I would be extremely appreciative.
