I miss always being able to make fire, I didn't realize how many situations I needed fire or just a Bic for until I stopped carrying a lighter. Now I have to use scissors to cut strings, and I actually use the bottle opener that's been in my junk drawer forever. If some hottie asks me for a light, I'd be looking around for some twings and tinder.

This is so stupid, but I know that I'm also gonna miss the way it feels to smoke a cigarette after you've been crying. Makes no sense, but it burns your sinuses in some specific way that I always loved.

Don't miss literally everything else. Cost, smell, taste, way it made me feel, the way it made people look at me, the way it made me anxious to leave events I was enjoying just so I could smoke......

I had one of those situations today. There were no hotties involved, unfortunately, but I was doing a little work "in the field" and I slipped a piece of heatshrink over a wire I had just soldered, reached for my lighter and... damn, it wasn't there.

I really don't miss much. I even tried a couple of puffs from an analog on my 1 month anniversary with ecigs. I took 2 puffs, threw it out the window and was very happy to do so.

My car is clean!!!! My house smells good!! I don't reek!!! No stinky ashtrays, no figuring out where to put that .... when I am done, darn I could go on.

I realized early on that I can't get by in life without a lighter. Even though I don't smoke cigarettes I still carry one with me most of the time.

10 days only for me and I do miss my Marlboro Reds. ..Sorry, but I do.

Maybe it's because I'm still in the early stages and haven't found a vape that's close to my Reds. ..I don't know.

Very close to buying a pack :(

Been there, smoked Marlboros for near 30 years. (changed up here and there but always went back) I gave up trying to replicate smoking Marlboros and went to different flavors. Once I got out of "Looking for something just like it" mode, it got easier to not think about my old smoke. then it got to the point where I hardly think about them anymore. Now I'm waiting for "Cigaretts are gross mode". I still want one every once and a while but I just vape till its gone.

In my experience there isn't a liquid in existence that will be just like smoking an analog. When it comes right down to it vaping is a completely different thing from smoking.

When I first quit analogs I scoured the internet for tobacco flavored juices. Not one of them really gave me that same flavor but I stuck with it and I'm glad that I did! Now I enjoy a variety of flavors from tobacco's to desserts. For me it really came down to finding something with a good throat hit.

The first juice I found that gave me the throat hit I wanted and a decent flavor to match was Halo Tribeca. It's more of a sweet flavor but there is definitely some tobacco flavor in there too.

If you haven't maybe try that one out. There are a lot of other great flavors from a lot of fantastic vendors too. It's all about finding the flavors you enjoy enough to keep from buying that next pack. :)

+1 on Tribeca. It tastes like graham crackers to me but I'm past the stage of wanting my vape to taste like a cigarette. Out of the few juices I tried, I didn't find one that really tasted like a cig but I DID find flavors that I liked even better. In fact, the last couple of cigs I smoked during my transition to vaping tasted kinda bad to me. I never imagined I'd enjoy "smoking" something that tasted like baked goods, peppermint or fruit but guess what? I really do!

I bought my first ego style set up about a year ago. For 4 months I used both, my Marlboro Milds and my ecig. I finally visited a real vape store and up graded to a twist with 4 clearos and 4 juice bottles. In Jan. I was out on my balcony smoking when I thought to myself, "what am I doing?" I realized that vaping was like fine wine and analog cigs were the equivalent of nasty flat cheap beer that someone had put a cigarette .... in. I wasn't quitting, I was upgrading! Now, I can't imagine smoking again. You really have to look at it like a hobby instead of a habit. I have fallen into the "rabbit hole" and I love it.

I still go out for "Smoke" breaks at work. I just stand up wind and vape away. It's a social thing and the smell of smoke dosen't repel me.
My Zippo is still in my knapsack (made in 1980) but my gold Dunhill hasn't been out of my dresser drawer in over a year. I keep the Zippo with me because there are so many non-smoking uses for a fire source.

Had those awkward moments when an analog smoker asks to borrow my lighter, and I have to explain why I don't have one. People where I work were notorious for walking away with a Bic and never returning it ...

Even had one guy grabbing for my cigalike and trying to light from it ...

I sure don't miss supplying all of the cig bums with free smokes ...

I have been smoke free about 19 months now and I miss nothing about analogs. I can vape where I couldn't smoke, my house and clothes don't stink, my sense of smell and taste are so much better, too.
It takes some people awhile to get used to the different batteries and holding them different from an analog. Also can take time getting used to the different taste of e-cigs. I quit analogs almost right away. I'm so happy to say I'm an EX smoker, yet have a replacement that is so satisfying
