Greetings fellow Vapers !

Been vaping for almost 2 months now. (quitted smoking for also the same time)

In short, I vape as if I am smoking... like when I WAS smoking... during breaks while at work, After meals.. I vape (like when I WAS smoking).. Whenver I HAVE the urge to smoke, I VAPE. That's how I got rid of that 35 years habit of Smoking Analogs.

Needless to say, I vape in public.. (with a clean concience) knowing I WON'T be harming anybody like before.. Then one day like my usual habit.. I vape.. Inhaled.. throat hit then "Exhale".. accidentally a woman "Caught my Vapor" while passing me by while she was walking..(I'm just standing still..) The woman then waved her hands vigoriously like everyone would do when they caught someones smoke (Which btw, smells baad.. ps. 'Now, I know how the analogs really smell') Her reaction.. is the same as though I WERE smoking an analog !.. People "STILL" believes what they SEE than what they smell. They SEE smoke they 'Automatically" wave their hands and turn around, look at you like an EBOLA victim. (EVEN WHEN THEY SMELL "NOTHING" at all.)

Actually that's one of the reason I QUIT smoking analogs. NON-Smokers makes me (US) feel we are RUINING their AIR. Because the government is AGAINST smoking.. to the extent that they almost Judging US that smokers are BAD..Bad PEOPLE.. Smokers are "SICK" people and should be condemed, segregated.. and leave to die... The People now-a-days are like that. They DEMONIFY Smokers.. the Government DEMONIFIES Smokers and imposes FINE to smokers to smoke indoors, parks etc... even in our OWN Private Vehicles... HERE in TAIWAN you get FINE when you smoke while you ride a motorcycle (while moving) they FINE you when you smoke riding your motorcycle (while waiting for the stop light)

So people treat you the same when you are VAPING too. (Because they are too IGNORANT) about E-Cigs.

That's my sad story... ~SIGH~ What's yours?

A few members of my girlfriends family asked me what i was smoking and also if it makes me get high or if i could pass a drug test so i do a little explaining on what it is then a few asked if they could try it. They where closer to middle aged and never seen it and surprisingly her aunt that is against vaping but doesnt say anything about smoking didnt say anything about it and just asked questions. Im not sure if she still against it but she has a better understanding of what its made with and the purpose of vaping.

A lot of problems would be solved if we stopped worrying about the judgement of others. Some people will just be unhappy about anything, as a cover to their own miserable existence. It would be kind of funny if it wasn't so pathetic of them to behave this way!

I've had one particular lady walk through some vapor I had just exhaled, then go into a coughing and hand waving fit, even though she didn't even have a chance to breathe in. She turned to me to give me an earful about how she was "allergic" to tobacco smoke and how what I had done could be construed as assault. I pointed out that I was more than willing to wait while she called a cop. I indicated that our time in court would be immensely interesting once it was discovered that I had not blown "tobacco smoke" in her face and that by publicly labeling me as a perpetrator of an assault, she was bordering on slander.

She went silent for a moment. I then suggested that I also disliked tobacco smoke, and that I had stopped smoking several years ago, but that out of concern for my own health, as well as the health of others around me, I had tried to find a solution that would be adequate for all and vaping was it. I then pointed out what the juice was made from (I DIY, so I explained what it was!), I showed her my PV and gave a short explanation of its functionality. At this point, she was actually actively listening, asking questions and nodding to my points. I also indicated how I had worked to introduce vaping to as many smokers as I knew, for their health and as a public service (Canadian healthcare is public, so we're all paying for our bad health!)

Funny enough, she apologized before walking away and told me that she would bring it up to every smoker she met!

I'm not into confrontations. Since the day I started vaping, I have been mindful of others. I simply don't vape were I shouldn't (can't) smoke. That approach avoids confrontations, negative reactions, and dirty looks. If you put yourself in a non-vapor's spot, you can see that vaping among others is not your right ... it's bad manners. My right to vape stops at another person's nose.

I've been vaping for over three years and find that there are an endless number of places and circumstances were my vaping does not offend anyone. And since I'm vaping for reasons of my own, I don't feel the need to rub it into someone else's face. They don't like it. Whether it's due to my ignorance of manners or their ignorance of the benefits of vaping, it's just plain rude.

I have no point to prove ... I just don't do it.

Yesterday I got, "Hey! That stuff will kill you!" My reply....."You're right, I died twice last week...." It got me the finger but hey, I was already dead.....

I got a similar response to a smoker I told about it. It was step brother who I don't see much. He was in the hospital at the time. He was like "Those are worse for you then cigarettes. I explained to him why they weren't and also told him not believe the lies. lol

Given the way she acted to you, I bet her way of "bringing it up" to smokers will be to carry on in the same idiotic fashion she did to you, and then scream "YOU SHOULD BE VAPING INSTEAD!!!!!!!!!!!" just because that sort of person is locked and loaded to tell others how to live their lives.

I don't vape inside stores (except vape stores!), just because it's not my store; I don't really know what, or if, there are any laws against it around here, but I'd rather not get into a huge hairy debate with some sanctimonious fool about it. If I'm in a public indoor space and there's no one else present, I'll ask whoever's in charge if they mind -- a garage I went to, to get our emissions test done, fits that criteria. When I asked, all he said was "it doesn't stink, does it?" I blew a small test cloud, he inhaled, and said, "nah, that's fine, it actually smells good; go right ahead!" And that wasn't a sweet vape, it was straight up Virginia.

But if I'm outdoors... I'm vaping. Don't give a rat's patootie what anyone thinks of it -- it's NOT smoke -- which I also did outdoors, and also didn't give a rat's patootie, mainly because the ANTZ have taken over all indoor spaces, and I'm NOT going to let them dictate my entire life to me. But one reason I'm very open about vaping outdoors is because I have been approached by a few who were interested in it, so I answered their questions about it, and I think at least one of those folks probably went straight to the nearest vape store. I'm a walking billboard for vaping! :D

I am the same away. When it comes to indoors I tend to not vape unless it is in the restroom or something. I will also do it at the movies but I stealth vape. If I am outdoors I am going to vape where every I want. I am not hurting anyone. I just can't understand rules saying you can't vape outdoors. Hell I even had issues with some places like parks banning cigarettes. I don't smoke anymore but I still think it is a bit dumb.
