I'm a 46 year old, 5'8", 245lb man with less than 15% body fat. I've been in the military where I boxed, wrestled and played football. I've been skydiving, bungee jumping and rode a mountain bike on the Flume in Lake Tahoe which is basically a cliff-side trail. I've commuted to work regularly on both a motorcycle AND bicycle in Washington DC (ask anyone who's been there how fearless you have to be to do that). Show me a living dinosaur and dare me to tackle it and I'd probably do it for poops and giggles. But to this day, a bug on my floor will make me shriek like a little girl.:p (that was fun!!!)
Can you video that and post it Boomer?? I would love to see you shriek like a little girl!!!!

That's kinda sad. I used to dance around and holler when I saw a wasp, but my husband informed me that I was merely entertaining the wasp, so naturally it would hang around to see what further entertainment I might offer. And he was right -- now that I ignore wasps, they appear to ignore me back. If I see a bug or spider on the floor, I kill it. If it's bigger than 1 inch... I call The Slayer -- a/k/a my husband. :D

I once saw a wood spider larger than my hand -- yes, IN the house, in a closet. I didn't say anything, because that sight robbed me of the power of speech; I just went and grabbed my grandfather and pointed to it.

I am not a fan of bugs or spiders but I do not scream or freak out. I simply go and locate my manx MeepBoop. He loves to stalk/hunt things.
He is strictly an indoor cat so he is thrilled to have something to hunt.
I just show him and let him take care of it.

I've only had one really negative reaction when I was vaping in public. I was waiting around with my dad to get into a Twins game and this dude leaves his wife and kids and comes up to me and says "I know what you're doing and you can't do that here, there's kids around! You know I could call the police!" I chuckled a little bit(because there was a stadium security guard about 50ft away), which upset him more. I'm glad my level headed dad stepped in and said "He's not doing drugs, he's not even smoking. It's just water vapor and it smells like peaches! What's the problem?" I ended up showing him my device, going through the parts and explaining how it works. He sulked off back to his wife and kids without an apology. His wife gave me the "sorry, my husband is a jerk" smile. It was probably more awkward for the poor guy than anyone else.

Heh... for a while we kept trying to stop Tuxie from going into the laundry room, but she was frantic to get in there. So then we thought, hmm, maybe there's something in there that shouldn't be -- not at all unusual for some small critter to climb in via the dryer vent. She didn't present us with anything... but she sure seems to like curling up on the dirty laundry. Cats are so weird. :D

My normal builds produce pretty hefty clouds. Even though I don't really consider myself a cloud chaser, I'm an old cigar and pipe smoker, so that's just the way I vape. I like a nice, big, full flavored vape. The accompanying clouds are just a byproduct. With that in mind, I'm usually pretty conscious of other people around, and I try not to blow vapor in their direction.

Yesterday I got, "Hey! That stuff will kill you!" My reply....."You're right, I died twice last week...." It got me the finger but hey, I was already dead.....

I got this one a while ago from a co-worker who smoked! Rather than go into a long debate with him on habits, I just replied with this quote:

"100% of the people in this world die!"

you know I honestly thing I've had more positive feedback from vaping in public when I tell them what it is or how long it's been since we quit and inquires about what it is (either they smoke or know a loved one that does that wants to quit and can't) with "good job" and congrats..honestly.

we ran into a fellow vaper in a car lot the other day and Ed and he had a good ole time talking gear for half an hour *lol*
it's more and more mainstream and accepted than the one out of ten negatives I get honestly.

which is awesome! :)

I usually get the thumbs up from some folks who know me from when I did smoke, but I also get the general hand waving reaction from the general public. I vape where I smoked (outside), so I'm used to it. I do get annoyed tho from some of these teens at the library when they see me vape and yell out, "HEY!!! LEMME HIT DAT H@$HPIPE!!!"

That is because you live in awesome Texas around folks with a much higher Teeth to Tattoo ratio... Have you heard of a Dunkle? That is where you have a Dad who is also possibly your Uncle... that is south east texas... They still have an active chapter of the ..... But I love my crazy pot smoking dad too much to move away.

Heck the vapor store in beaumont is constantly in fear of being shut down by closed minded conservatives. They have several employees and an owner that have the skill to create e-juice but are afraid that will cause problems.

When I am in Florida ( where I am from ) Paramedic friends of mine vape on hospital property and in the ambulance ( not with a patient of course )... It has never been an issue.

That's a shame.

I tend to think of Texas as two completely different places with one name. In my mind there's Austin, then there's everything that's not Austin.

Honestly I don't want anyone blowing anything in my face whether it is smoke or vape.

Yeah I agree with this. And while I'm guessing second-hand vapor is better than smoke, I'm don't think anyone really knows for sure that it's harmless. It's not exactly pure water vapor we're exhaling.

Unless, we're vaping outside WITHOUT brushing our teeth.. I believe our second hand VAPOR would be NOT only vapor... BAD BREATH is also present in it... (rest assure.. my oral hygene has improved without smoking) analogs for the past 2 months already... Before my wife would ask me to brush my teeth whenever i would try to kiss her because of the smell of analogs is (WAS) present.
The cologne I use now.. has the right effect now... Now, people at work smells the cologne I'm wearing.. unlike before.. even i use cologne, all they smell is "ASTRAY" whenever I go near them. LOLZ!

It's not that. I don't want anyone blowing their hot, germ infested breath all over me.

Good lord yes... I really like visiting Austin... I feel like im in a different state all together.

Funny that Brandon7 mentioned vaping in bars. I went out with friends about a year ago for some drinks. You could smoke on the back patio but even with the propane heaters it was freezing and the smell of smoke was disgusting. I pulled out my trusty MVP topped with a drilled out rebuilt evod and blew clouds of Panty Dropper from good life vapor ( it smells amazing for those that dont know ). Not only did I not have to freeze or smell smoke, I had a really cute bartender flirt with me and even asked for a few puffs. ( if a gal will puff on your mod, chances are pretty good that she might be down for a kiss ).

BTW I did have a few dates with the bartender, and will ask her out again if she hasnt been scooped up yet. ( I have been working a lot over the last 6 months )
