Was wondering what makes everyone think of wanting an analog?

I've done really well walking away from anlogs quickly after starting to vap, just recently dropped my mg level of nicotine and adding 0mg nicotine level to my daily routine.. 3 months analogs never crossed my mind,, and I found myself one evening picturing them in my head.. I wasn't craving the satisfaction of taste, or that I would feel better smoking an analog.. The oddest thing was

I wanted the convience of just pulling one out of the pack and lighting it..

instead of pulling my e cig apart, opening a bottle of liquid and dripping a few drops and yes having to mess with it, if I drip too much liquid..

(I know it's really lame, just found it interesting that is the only thing that had made think of an analog was for the convience of use. )

so was just wondering what makes everyone else think of picking up an analog

What we need is a computerized fuel injection e cig ,, lol lol...

Hey Patricia, I've had the same thoughts. :)

The convenience factor is pretty big. Though speaking of convenience, I can't sneak a puff off an analog at my desk, but I can from my e-cig!

But yeah, going on a break and just lighting one up, it used to seem so simple.

I actually tried an analog on my 30 smoke free anniversary earlier this week. I kept thinking I was missing something. I didn't know if it was the convenience, the long deep drags, the harsh smoke or what. And you know what? I wasn't missing anything.

The taste was awful (no hints of caramel?!?), I get better throat hit from my 510 and I had to wash my hands and brush my teeth to get rid of the taste. And I could still taste it the next morning. Gross.

So I'm not advocating picking up an analog if you don't want to, but it was a real eye-opener for me that vaping is the way to go! :thumb:

For me, if I'm not getting a good hit, or feel it in my lungs I want a cigarette.
I'm still really new at this and not totally off the regulars, but have cut way way back due to the ecigs.
With the 510 an 24mg liquid, a couple hits and I don't even think about a cigarette, although I do miss menthol, haven't found a good one yet. The njoy so far makes me want a cigarette cause it has no lung hit and lower nicotine.

In the beginning I found myself thinking about smoking an analog, but almost a month into it I have not had a craving for one -- even when I'm outside with my friends enjoying a vape as they smoke their nasty analogs.

Actually about 7 days or so into it I tried to smoke an analog but only made two puffs before I was grossed out from the taste/mouth feeling.

As far as finding a good menthol the only one I tried was e-smokeytreats menthol cartridges. It had a taste similar to marlboro smooths I found but it was not the most powerful of flavors. I have not tried the menthol from truesmoker.com, but its where I get my other juices from because I find their flavors a bit stronger (personally). I will be making an order from cigtechs.com tomorrow for juices (20% discount for 4th of july orders with the fireworks coupon code) Most places are having great sales in celebration of the 4th.

Well, I was a smoker for about 4 years.
I got up to about a pack-a-day habbit.
Its been sooo hard to shake it off, considering all fo my friends also smoke analogs (NOOBS!)
Thats the hardest thing for me is jsut seeing them all smoke those, and I still have it set in my mind that I need a damn analog. But so far, I've managed to go 4 days without even one. Just keep on puffin on that e-cig, and don't think about it haha. Soon I hope to haev no desire to smoke an analog ever again. There grose, and who wants to smell like an ashtray anyways?

The final nail in the analog coffin for me was when I burned out my only atty (1 week into vaping) and had to go back to cigs for 2 days. Those were the 2 worst days of my life!
After I got working gear back in my hands, I had no desire for analogs-the addiction had been fataly broken. Now, almost 4 months later, there is still no desire for tobacco..... nada, ziltch. That one clarifying event put everything into perspective for me.

And Jim - I feel very sorry for your balls....:D

I got my 510 on Monday and haven't smoked since. I smoked for 20 years and a pack would last me about 2 full days (if I went out drinking it would last less). On Tuesday I did light up a analog to see if it tasted different or anything, I had to put it out after 3 drags because it tasted horrible. I have a full pack that has been sitting in my truck, I'll keep it around for emergencies but I doubt I'll need them. I'm hoping this will cure me of my tobacco habbit and eventually wing myself of nicotine all together.

The nicotine is not the only thing you're addicted to. There are other chemicals in the smoke that you crave. Just keep vaping, and the cravings will slowly go away.

Do you know what other chemicals that are addicting besides nicotine? I would really like to know or point me in the right direction pm me if you can I have a hard time following up on all these post

Thanks!

And Jim - I feel very sorry for your balls....:D

Actually, I'm Superman. Balls of Steel. :D

Seriously though, I DO think of analogs. I think of the mornings where I used to wake up hacking up God only knows what, coughing like a ....., can't breathe and have the feeling of an elephant is sitting on my chest. Feeling listless and tired even after 8 hours of sleep when all the tar from 2 packs a day coated my lungs and killed the oxygen transfer from in my lungs to my bloodstream. Yeah, I think of them all the time. Bad memories that I'd much rather forget. 8-o

I thought about the convenience of smoking analogs vs vaping and decided I'd rather deal with equipment issues than clean ashtrays, find a place to smoke, and discard butts when I'm done. Not to mention the health issues. I was feeling very heavy in my chest and had a nagging cough from a cold I had months before. That scared me enough to try nicotine gum which made me sick. So when I found out about vaping, I was in heaven. I still have my unopened pack of analogs I bought just in case vaping didn't work out for me. Sure, when my equipment is frustrating me, I think about that pack of analogs, then get busy and get my equipment straightened out. I'm not going back.

:thumb:
This is my story exactly...........tried it twice this week after five weeks and it is freaking horrible.......I almost had to shower after one mouthful
