Hi everyone,

I joined the vapors about three years ago and for a while went off cigarettes.
Then I read a post about another vapor, stating how disgusting real cigarettes tasted and smelled.
I wondered, could this be true?
So I lit up and ... hmm, this tasted and smelled pretty good.
So I started smoking again.

What puts me off the most of vapors is the smoker's bashing.
Each and every one of them used to be smokers, but now that they're vapors, they're bashing those that still smoke.

Personally I have tried drip cartridges and battery e-cigs and although they're fine for a while, I find they don't give complete satisfaction.
Can you recommend something?
I rather don't go back to dripping, I found it's too much of a hassle.

Also, I burned my fingers rather badly on an e-cig that overheated.

I will say vaping has come a LONG way in three years. Us drippers are considered dinosaurs by most. The reason being there is so many cool tanks out now you won't need to drip every few minutes. Also as far as batteries go you could pickup a decent setup for real cheap with really good chemistry batteries. It all depends on the size of the e cig you'd like.

Definitely get a tank! There's a huge range of different sorts of tanks you can choose from. I personally don't stray away from the standard cartomizer tanks, it does the job for me. If you want to try it out, see if it works for you Parkes Vaping, I believe has the cheapest carto tanks, I've seen.

HV Chibi Tank Mod (boge 3.0)

But beware of vaping certain juices, because these tanks aren't made of glass...may be prone to cracking.

Cartomizers (some are dual coil...some hold upwards of 6ml. They've come a long way in the past few years). Carto tanks. Clearomizers. Bottom Feeders. Rebuildable atomizers...many have tanks. Not many do the cartiridge/atomizer thing nowadays. Understandably since it really doesn't work that good. I tried them, and meh...not for me. Personally...I was fine with EMSCCs (ego mega single coil cartomizers) and Kanger bottom coil cartos. Then I went with carto tanks for a long time...preferred the 6ml. variety and liked Boge and Ikenvape cartos in them. Two holes. Then I found bottom feeders and that is where I am now. Currently using the Vapage Vmods...and will be getting a bottom feed Bogger Box in a few days. Clearomizers are popular...they are a sort of wicked "cartomizer"...with clear tanks so you can see how much juice is left etc. Many love them, and they ARE easy. I wasn't keen on them after an initial month or two "honeymoon phase" and left them behind. But vaping is subjective. What works for one person may not for another. All part of the adventure!

Any suggestions, other than dripping?

If you like the flavor and vapor dripping gives, but don't like the hassle, you could look into a bottom feed mod. Basically you squeeze a bottle that feeds liquid directly into the threaded end of an atomizer or cartomizer. After that you just press the button and vape. It's really simple and effective. I recently got a Reo and I love it. Tons of info and help in this thread Reos Mods

Couple of other brands- Bogger Box and Vapage Vmod.

Were you not satisfied with the flavors you tried before or was it just the hardware side of things that left you unsatisfied?

I'll start by saying congrats to trying again, lots of real nice changes in the past 3 years.

Next let me say from personal experience u won't find people here outright bash any smoker, we were smokers and are now Vapers, heck some of us still have a few smokes, me not included I Vape only, lol.

We do try openly to convert without being pushy, no harm no foul etal.

Enjoy your stay there are many choices I'm sure u well have success with enjoying.

Somewhere out there
Vaping has come along way baby! I tried ecigs back in 2009 and ecigs were pretty pathetic back then, no battery life, hardly any TH, it was frustrating! Came back to vaping in 2011 and quit smoking using ecigs. So you have alot of options, long battery life, cartos, cleaors, tanks. As for dripping, it still gives the best flavor, but you can get the same experience easier now with bottom feeders or a box mod like Reo. You have alot of new toys to try!! Have fun :) bnrk

Thank you everyone for the feedback. I'll do some research. In the meantime, how do you fee about HD-smoke. I currently use those http://www.hdsmoke.com/

Do all of you just vape, or do you still smoke as well?
I find that I only used to vape at work and public places, but preferred my real cigarettes at home.

This is the truth... unfortunately you just have to try different things until you find what works for you. If I would have stuck with my original KR808/cartomizer kit, I probably would have quit vaping and gone back to smoking a couple of months ago. I tried clearomizers after many people recommended them and I hated them. I liked dripping, but you can't really do that on the go. That led me to the bottom feed mods. Perfect for me, but you could hate them.

No more analog cigs or cigars for me. Too expensive, too stinky and just a plain nasty habit all around. Vaping is so much more fun and IMHO a lot better alternative for someone who has a hand to mouth habit like me.

To me Blu's are overpriced. I have also heard a lot of negative reviews of their batteries. I would suggest a company like Halo E-liquid USA | E-Cigarette Liquid | Electronic Cigarette | Halo E-Cigs if you are looking for a small ecig.

I pretty much only vape. On occasion if I'm drinking, I'll bum one or two.

Never heard of them, but to be honest, looking at their prices they are a complete ripoff. $50 for a one batter/6 cartomizer kit is way too expensive as is $20 for a 5-pack of cartomizers.

Of course. There's cartomizer tanks, clearomizers and even atomizer tanks now! I'd suggest picking up a kanger pro tank or something because its very noob friendly. Easily cleanable for flavor changes and very fast to switch coils out on.

I have 5 in rotation currently to have different flavors...I just can't commit to one flavor for a whole day. I need a bakery treat for breakfast and something spicier for the afternoon and something mellow and sweet with low nic for the evening.

I am very new to vaping...but, just to chime in.. For my small on-the-go vape I use a 650mah ego/CE 5 combo and at home a twist/evod combo. I also have different tanks, a couple Kanger t-3's etc...

I smoke 3 "real" cigarettes per day: morning, lunch and dinner. I too find it annoying when vapors refer to cigs as "stinkies". I also agree it is silly to bash smokers when we are still inhaling nicotine...but, whatever. Just my 2 cents on that. JAG
