You could actually make a coherent argument that rather than taxing vaping, the question should be whether or not it should be subsidized. Now I am NOT in favor of a subsidy, but there plenty of other items that are subsidized with much lower benefits to a society. If nothing else, it could put the quietus on the "raise taxes on e-cigs and make 'em pay their fair share!" mob.
