LMAO
I'm thinking two wicks (LAWaters says she's sending some Rayon this way) and more heating surface at a reasonable wattage could actually produce a cool, dense vapor that might bring out flavor a little more. Or at least that's what I'm shooting for....

sorry, different Lori from different thread

It is certainly worth experimenting Pops. And it is likely your starting point is not where you're going to end up. You can play around and see what works best. Less wraps, different IDs, different gauges, different resistance. If it were me, I'd keep your preferred resistance (1.5) your constant and mess with the other factors to see the differences. If none of them appeal to you then I would consider going down to 1.0 - 1.2 and start the process over again.

Brett, I used to vape a single coil 1/16" airhole setup in the same resistance range as you.

When I tried dual 1 ohm (and even dual 1.2 ohm) coils netting .5 and .7 respectively on an Atty with dual AFC, I was amazed at how much the vape improved. It is NOT a hot vape like a .5 ohm coil would be on a small atty with a small air hole.

All the air that mixes with the heat of the coils produces copious amounts of thick dense warm vapor.

Now mind you, you will direct lung hit this setup, MTL and wide open AFC aren't the best of buds :)

Heed my words; once you go that route, it's likely that nothing else will do.

After I built my first dual coil, as I recall, it was either on a Helios or a Brass Monkey, I just couldn't do single coils anymore.

I might not want to hear it's THAT good. Why, whatever would become of my Grands, VV Grands and Woodvil ?

In my case, they get milled down. The woodvil being the exception.

Why the same thing that happened to mine of course - haircuts or sold for LPs :)

Can that be done at the Spa in Alfred , ME ? Take a 'Classic' Grand, mill down the top and install new contacts ?
A VV Grand set up for an RM5 ? numnumnum

Yep - Rob can do that.

The haircut and new contacts gave my grands a new lease of life. You can still use anything you ever did on them - i grant you a regular RM2 lokks a bit weird - but it works!
But - you can also use anything with a 510 on top and that's what opens up the entire game. Super_x loves his Odins; i love my Atomics and other things. We both only make dual coils now.

My opinion is that it all adds to the versatility of the Reo and i still use the same black grand every day that i first bought.
