September will be 9 years since my last smoke. The biggest change? I smell like a bakery, not an ashtray :)

Oh yeah, health is better and I have an unhealthy obsession with metallurgy and stabwood.

"Buy land, young man, they aren't making any more of it!"

There are areas around here with a steady stream of dump trucks filling in marsh land, they most definitely are making more of it, and charging out the wazoo for it.

One particular area I’m thinking of the lot/homes sell north of $3 million.

Wonder how they will fare in a Cat 5 landfall :danger:

I own roughly 200 acres up in the Blue Ridge Mountains, in a county with exceptionally low property taxes.

Oh, bet I could walk right in to where you are then. Grew up down that way. Me, Pap, uncle "Buddy" used to fish over at Egypt Bend on near Luray. I cannot recall exactly the place's name but used to be an old Hippie Holiday place with a cleared out "beach" area along the Shenandoah that would wind up bringing our John boat into. My Aunt Claire used to go over in their RV to get away at times. She would let us set up a fish fry. I also did plenty of stomping around all over those mountains. Sometimes I'd have to show the forestry agents how to get into places. *chuckles* I recall a planta..., oops never mind. That place got disappeared by some kind of raid. Knew of a couple that vanished and some what didn't. Got you someplace you'll not get run out. :)

I still use 18-56mg nicotine and see no reason to decrease.

Started using 18mg/ml dropped to 12 mg for about a week, back to and sticking with 18mg. Got no need of less nicotine.

I remember my uncle buying acres on the mountain for less than a dollar an acre.

Not sure if it's that cheap up my neck of the woods but if not it's fairly close or lower. Of course it's WV, they teach Readin' Ritin' and route 21 to get out of here. No work to be had and any time someone tries the gov comes along and illegals it.

an unhealthy obsession with metallurgy

Is there such a creature? :) :D

I've been vaping since 2013. Don't plan to stop.

What has changed? Early on in my journey, the only people vaping tended to be comfortable with new technology. You'd have to be, to try this hair brained idea.

With that, pretty much everyone experimented, and innovated. The early ECF threads document some of the first trials of adding Apple Cider vinegar and other acids to eliquid to balance PH (salts) the first people to mod flash lights. The first squonkers.

Now days. Everyone vapes. Most don't experiment, at all.

The innovation is gone...

I quit smoking by vaping over 6 years ago.
I've been DIY since a month after I switched.
Change? The gear got better and more efficient so my mg/ml got lower.
I'll quit vaping when I run out of nicotine. Or not. Ask me again in 25-30 years.
30 years of nicotine cost less than 2 months of smoking.
Smoking is stupid and vaping tastes better.
