Over 6 years vaping for me, as others said, a lot changed over the years, some for the good, some bad, I do believe regulations will happen, but don't think it will be as doom and gloom as some make out, just for plain fact, vaping has grown so much and plenty of studies showing vaping is much safer than smoking, luckily I believe they left it too late to completely stop vaping, but do believe they will limit mods and rebuildables, it will be closed systems, to stop dumbasses blowing their privates off.

Over my vaping time, I have collected enough mods and tanks to not worry too much, but have recently started doing more DIY juice and stocking Nic, just in case things do get really bad on that front.

Oh and have no intentions of quitting vaping, I enjoy it to much and in the back of my mind, I am concerned the smokers urge would come back if quit vaping.

Been vaping almost ten years. Quit accidentally. I simply would've been pleased to cut back to 2 packs a day but was pleasantly surprised when in 3 days I had completely quit smoking my 3 PAD Kool habit and my still loved 3-10 cigars a day. I don't miss it and have never been tempted to smoke.
I don't DIY so friends who do will be my lifeline or I will likely smoke again....who can tell? I still use 18-56mg nicotine and see no reason to decrease. I really don't get why people are telling new vapers to start at 3mg and "get off nicotine".

I started vaping approximately 4-5 years ago. Are there any folks on here who quit smoking and are still vaping 5 or more years later? What has changed for you? How long do you plan to keep vaping?

Yeppers, there are many of us.

For moi, January the 25, 2011.

    3029 days, 16 hours, 10 minutes and 0 seconds

    Or 8 years, 3 months, 18 days, 16 hours, 10 minutes

    Or 99 months, 18 days, 16 hours, 10 minutes

(Yes, DPL gave me an abacus.)

What's changed? Vape wise, not too much. I started as a Tootle and I remain vigilantly constant to that form of vaping. It's what I enjoy.

Vape gear wise? Just TONS and TONS more of it. And major cabinet/cupboard cleaning to make room for more vape schtuff.

I plan to kontinue vaping til the last coil dies...

Coming on 5 years since I quit. Got my first cigalike 10 years ago. Guess I'm a slow learner. Not planning to quit, I enjoy vaping too much. Stashed enough nic and hardware to be safe from the authorities.

I still worry though. They ban nicotine and then my house burns down. I'm really not sure what I would do if that happened. From time to time I think about putting a few mods and tanks in a lockbox at the bank. I could survive on a small percentage of my stash. That wouldn't work for nic though, don't think they do refrigerated lockboxes.

It's been a little over seven years for me since I switched to vaping from smoking. I'm an old fart and have enough hardware stashed away to probably outlast me. I make my own juices and can for the most part source safe vape ingredients from non-vape suppliers. I also have enough nic for quite a long while and feel I can transition to non-nic juice if I have to.

The most significant thing that has changed for me over the years is the hardware has gotten a lot better. There are many products on the market now that just work without a lot of fiddling and tinkering.

I'm not planning on quitting vaping anytime soon, but if I had to tomorrow I could probably do it without going back to smoking.

    That feels good :)

Personally: Liter-sized glass bottles in a cool, dark place.

Puts me in mind of some of the hill folk. Some actually got value into millions but you never know it. They use mason jars as banks buried here and there, set into trees. If it ain't money they "bank" it might be ammo, survival kits, land deeds.

I know I said probably two years. I honestly cannot recall exactly how long. It's been an off and on time as well. Tried cig-a-likes back to smoking, back to evods and Ego batteries. Then, on to trying squonking and RDA. It might be four, three. I apologize my memory at times is not so good and I don't botther so much with time. *smh* I kind of live outside of it. *chuckles*

Around 7 years for me, started out on a joyetech somethingorother, was crap but worked, moved to vivi novas & ego bats, then sigelli z something, then I found gennies, DID, Doc Dave, VA kraken + others & moved to mechs.
Started machining up my own mechs from scratch in around 2014, made quite a few, still have most of them.
Still vape mechs & gennies, but liking a couple of digiflavour drops I bought on a whim.

No intention of quitting vaping, I'm a chronic nic addict.
Got enough bullet proof mechs & rebuildable attys to last pretty much indefinitely, all I need is kanthal, #400 mesh & some cotton.
Gotta get more nic tho, only got about 18 months worth.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I own roughly 200 acres up in the Blue Ridge Mountains, in a county with exceptionally low property taxes. As for ammo (and primers!).... I ain't saying how much I've got, but I'm pretty confident I'll never run out. So I guess a few cases of liter-sized brown glass bottles of VG (and PG) fit the profile.

Land up there is worth a fortune now. I remember my uncle buying acres on the mountain for less than a dollar an acre. His daughter recently sold 20 of the acres for like 400 an acre. People want to build cabins/vacay homes on the side of the mountain.

so they can vape 30mls a day? Honestly I suppose its because to them its something to be proud of, so they pass it along......what most dont say is , yes they went from 24 to 6, but dont say they now vape 4x's the juice.....I agree, alot are to fast to say drop, which causes the wrong picture, so instead of concentrating on kicking the habit, their efforts are more geared towards reducing much to quickly.......
