I believe the way one puffs/hits their e-cig plays a big part in the throat hit. For me, I get the best throat hit by direct inhaling as opposed to filling my mouth with vapor and then inhaling (like I used to with the analogs).
I see your point. However, as a confirmed "mouther", I'm wondering what hardware is the champ at producing the hottest vapor.
BTW I dunno why but I have a serious bias against the expression throat hit, kinda like my hatred for the word epic... lol
Oh wellI shall use my word HARSH instead!

Yea, I don't like it when people say "epic" either. "Hella" is another one.![]()
I agree with you, Bellinghamster. I think temperature of the vapor is the key to a satisfying, analog-like hot punch to the throat. My question to all is: which of the commercially available e-cigs deliver the hottest hit? I have an EVO and a Dura, and while I think they are both well-made and designed and have superior vapor production and battery performance, I'm looking for more throat-roasting hits than they can provide. Any suggestions?
It's the latter feeling that I'm interested in recreating with e-cigs, and probably the strongest psychological habit for me to overcome in weening myself off e-cigs.
have you tried either of those e-cigs with a high nic juice? from my personal experience, the higher the nic content the harsher the throat hit.
try some 36mg juice and direct drip.......im sure it will make your throat feel like its being rubbed down with sand paper if using either of the e-cigs you mention!
as atomisers are only designed to get hot enough to vapourise the liquid i think you will struggle to find any e-cig that will replicate the same amount of heat that a burning cigarette would produce
simply because e-liquid is heated, tobacco is burnt.
as i said, try the hi nic 36mg juice. it wont make a differnce to the "heat" but its definitely harsh!
