ordered 2 times from china and paid customs duty for both the packages.(dhl)
came to know that if we go for the ems or airmail the packages can skip customs duty
You kidding me? DHL delivers right on my door within 5 days and never ever paid any customs. I think DHL charges customs with the shipping costs. At least that's what I think. I have ordered hundreds of products through DHL and Aramex (Amazon ships through Aramex) and have NEVER paid customs. Both services are pretty good. And now Royal Mail is in my preferred shipping methods if ordering from the UK. THEY ROCK!
What??
Well my DHL package of 500ml of juice came in with no duty. Fedex pack came with no duty. EMS came with duty of 1390RS for equipment worth 245$$ thanks to undervaluing.
I don't mind paying custom's but it takes 1 month to clear it. Stupid ......s here will send you a letter whenever they feel like, it will take a week to reach us. We will respond the next day via speedpost itself but still even after recieving it they have a "DUMBASS ......" who sits there to valuate them. He lives in sm1s A_N_U_S and will crawl out whenever he feels like to. After the valuation, which is guaranteed to charge from anywhere from 32%-60% of entire value including shipping, the t_i_t_s will dispatch it.
Took me 2 months to clear an EMS package. 1350 to my clearing agent, 1390 to customs, 250 bribe.
And I am talking about Cochin customs DUMBOS...
No wonder our country is in such a state. These people work like they "own" the department.
If I had my way, would stake these guys and burn them alive.
Our govt. officials have IQ levels of 30 -40. Ant's are better than them.
EMS is the world's MOST filthy way to get your products shipped. And add USPS to the list of a*holes too. EMS China provides full tracking of the package and if you track it, the product first reaches Bombay customs. There bunch of lazy butts take a week to release the product. And then the product goest to New Delhi customs and that's when the HELL begins. Why not, New Delhi is the capital of India, so they treat your package with special care. They take care of your package from 2 to 3 weeks. If you order eLiquid, you are going to be darn happy cuz you wont have to wait for the liquid to steep. By the time you get your package in 4 to 6 weeks, its more than steep and ready to vape hahaha.
On a side note, its not only the Indian postal department. Google 'usps sucks' and you will be happy that you at least get your package. As for the customs duty, looks like Indian Postal department is full of idiots. Sometimes they charge customs on international EMS packages and sometimes they don't. Don't ask me why. I just got 4 different packages (within Feb).
My ThroatHit came through Royal Mail with 20 pounds shipping. No customs duty.
MadVapes eLiquids through USPS (took about 5 weeks to ship). No customs duty.
Smoktek cartomizers and DCTs through USPS (took about 5 weeks). No customs duty.
VirginVapor eLiquids through USPS (took about 5 weeks). No customs duty.
Anyone wishes to order their products through me? More than welcome. I can do that for you guys.
On a side note, I was thinking if we can swap products or buy from each other if we have any products spare? I ordered way too much stuff lol. And I don't think I'm going to use all of it. So if anyone from India wishes to have any Kanger T3s or SmokTek Dual Coil caromizers or tanks, give me a buzz and I can send them over to you. Well, you will save on shipping and customs you would have paid to the USPS/Indian Post idiots. I wont charge that from anyone interested in buying anything from me
Oh well, I'm researching on Dripper Atomizers now like Nimbus, iGO-L, AGAs and all that. Seems like there's no end to "advanced" stuff in the vaping world
