I've been using my first PV (joye 510 from cignot) and have loved it so far. However, I would like something that I don't have to refill quite as much. Also, my batteries seem like they might be crapping out already. Today, they both charged to green and didn't even vape for a half hour each until they died again.

So, first question, what is the best model for liquid capacity? Quick research seems like the 901.

Secondly, whats the battery lifespan generally on the joye 510's?

Thanks!!

First as far as 3 piece models go (without getting into the ecigars and epipes) the 801 has the largest cartridge - I'd say 3x that of the 510 or 901 whose cartridges are interchangable with each other so - no the 901 doesn't have a larger cartridge.

I'd highly suggest getting a 510 battery to 901/cartomizer adapter to use on your 510 batteries and then get some blank cartomizers and fill them with juice. Done right, you can get 2+ hours from the cartomizers. You could also buy prefilled cartomizers but it's going to cost you.

For longer battery life for the 510, get the mega batteries that last about 2x as long as the regular batts. You should be getting 1 to 2 hours from your regular batts depending on your use. iow, ymmv.

As cassavetes acknowledged, it's difficult to find anything to add to Kent's comprehensive answer. But I like tough challenges.:D

Get a KR808D-1 with the newer batteries like the XL's / or any of them with a cutoff that is 10 seconds or over. Vapor4life does good deals on stuff.

It would be a good idea for you to compare one of their kits to a 510 and see what you think, as they are the 2 most popular.
And you can use those Kr8 batteries with your 510 atomizers, by purchasing an adapter, e.g., from NHaler or GoodProphets.

And, to really extend battery life, attach your 510 atty to a mod or to the new 600 mAh Janty eGO. For comparison, the regular 510 battery is 150 mAh, the Mega 510 (and regular Kr8 battery) is 280 mAh, and the XL Kr8 battery is 380 mAh.

Don,

While there is no rule, of course, it's been, let's say, customary or as a courtesy to the OP's wallet, to not just say 'buy a 510' or 901 etc. to someone who has already bought some other model, as a 'fix' for whatever problem they've been having. Some people do that and I usually refrain from doing so when someone has already committed to a certain model. However, I am totally willing to change my protocol on this and follow your lead, and nightwalker's as well, here.

I know of some KR808D-1 users that complain - most often about 'not enough vapor', battery problems, cutoffs, problems with compatibilities even within the KR808D-1 batteries and cartos, piping hot cartomizers, filling cartos etc., that could "solve" their problems by buying the less expensive Joye510 kits from cignot or almost anywhere else for that matter, considering the price the the VK, V4K et. al. charge for their kits. Even the lower end kits at Vapor4Life - the ones that nobody suggests because of the poor batts, and cutoffs, go for 2x the price of 510 kits at many vendors. The ones they advise getting are 3x the price of a 510 starter kit. I like challenges too, so this should be fun.

You can get KR808D-1 kits for 30-40 dollars, puresmoker, vaporkings etc.
and i know vapor kings uses the newer kanger batterys for their kits because i have one, you're right about the low end V4L kits though.

People think that good KR808D-1 kits cost more but they don't, just gotta know where to buy from.

What a secret handshake or something? Or do you have to shill in order to get the price. Fact is most people would be better with a 510 kit and get the adapter for the cartos if they wanted to try them without breaking the bank. 'Best of both worlds' so to speak except the blank cartridges is a better way to go unless you want to pay the high prices of the prefilled. And then to avoid the known issue of a bad underflavor you have to buy the highest priced cartomizers at V4Life. What a deal!! lol.

Don't get me wrong, I LIKE the cartos at V4L - some are really good and some actually get some vapor too, but I can afford them, though I'd never used the crappy KR808D-1 batt I have, or pay $90 for a starter kit for the 'extra long' supposedly 'good' new and improved ones. Not when I can run them on a mod for $50 and get more vapor from an even better and longer life battery.
