Hi All,

I relapsed to analogs for a while but I'm ready to start vaping again and get off of these smelly sticks.

I currently have an eGo-T (type A) 650mah setup with some extra parts and a stash of juice. I am looking to upgrade or bring my current equipment up to speed since it seems the industry has come a long way in my absence and my current setup is not working optimally... I need some guidance.

Some background info:
-I am comfortable with an eGo sized and shaped device. Not so much with the larger box mods. But I could go a bit bigger.
-I like the tank style systems. I do not like the older style cartridges with the polyfill.
-I am interested in VV and am curious about the eGo Twist and Twist C. What is the difference?
-I am willing to carry a small kit daily (one complete, an extra battery, an extra atomizer/carto/clearo/whatever, and juice)
-I am concerned with leaking since I tend to use darker colored juices and don't wear the cheapest clothing to work.
-I like cinnamon / menthol flavors. I hear Cinnamon tends to damage tanks???
-I do hope to be able to use my existing equipment as backup / emergency. But, I'm open to a completely new device if it's that much better.
-I am like a newbie again in the scene in terms of these devices. But pretty experienced with terminology, juice, nic levels etc.

Any help / guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi

eGo Twist and Twist C (if it's the VV model) are the same thing. There is an Joye eGo C "upgrade" that claims it's kinda sorta a VV, but it's not. I have one. Skip it.

Keep in mind that VV's are bigger. I use an old 650mAh when I go out, so I don't look like I'm armed. At home I use 1000mAh Twists; the battery alone is 5 inches long.

I use CE4 clearomizers, mini vivi novas and tanks, each for different situations. I like clearos because they are inexpensive, come in different colors and are small. I don't feel weird taking them out with me. They are known to leak, but I learned how to deal with them, so they don't. Lots of people rave about the vivi novas, I'm indifferent. Mostly because I haven't found that many juices I want to dedicate a whole tank to.

I love cinnamon, but it melts polycarbonate & acrylic, so it kills clearos and novas. I use glass tanks with stainless steel caps from IBTanked and have a polypro one from Valley View Vapes. They work brilliantly! With the glass tanks I use a tool called "Slap Yo' Mama" from Big Daddy Vapor. Stupid name, but it makes changing the cartos a breeze. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with the polypro tank, because the grommets are too tight. I also use stainless steel drip tips.

I'm sure you will get lots of advice, but this is my set-up. ;) Welcome back!

This is what an IBTanked looks like on a 650mAh eGo:

Well I like my ego twists but the 650mah is the same length as the old 1000mah ego batts. I don't use them out and about for that reason. I like the old unregulated Riva batteries for that. I used to use ego b-c tanks but those leak all over the place. I then switched to Kanger T2's and from a performance point of view these are my favorates. They don't leak, however the plastic tanks seem to melt with my favorite cinnamon juice. I have since moved on to the mini viva novas with a metal tank for this reason. Also the Novas have the advantage of being rebuildable. You can quite easily rewick and recoil the things with kanthanal or nichome and cotton or silica wicks for just pennies. I build a new coil every day for mine as to me there is nothing better than using a fresh atty.

I am 4 months new but since at this time there is really nowhere to go from the mods that take batteries i bought a beautiful box mod from a guy who makes them with a regulator that is really solid and a Vamo vv/ vw that can take the same size batteries as my vv wood box mod and then buy a charger, use the best you can research here on ecf in batteries. I personally like glass tanks with ss replacement cartos but feel those all need upgrades to them somehow and I also got two beginner type joyetech Attomizers standard to try because maybe I'll them better since the fill to me is just a "necessary " evil. Plus they aren't expensive to learn on. I am totally dumb about the tetchy stuff oms and watts and rely heavily on ecf forum. The online stores seem to assume we know whar we are doing....lazy I would say. I also like the Kanger t3 s a lot. Almost no fill but you might need to do cold drags periodically to keep them primed with enough liquid. They are very convenient and other stuff if glass tanks sound like to much trouble. Kinda new out it then there always is something new out. I spilled a lot of juice and threw away several or more good cartos that, because of user error, mine, were making me mad. I jumped right in. I can't wait for all my egos to die so I don't have to use them anymore. At the least VV is important with all the available options in delivery systems. That's all I can think of. I am dumb about such stuff really and if I can inure it out so can anybody with the help of ecf people. No q is too dumb unless you get one person who maybe is drinking or otherwise feeling a little loony. Humans!

vivi nova 3.5ml or 2.0ml mini tanks with metal tanks would work best for the non plastic flavors like cinnamon if you dont like carto tanks. depends on how long you were gone, im new but i've already determined i like the novas better than new cartos as well.

for power options a 650 twist as stated is as big as the old 1000 but it really depends on your preferances and price range you are looking for. i'll give you what i've read up on for inexpensive VV options... these are in no way everybody's opinions but i feel are some decent options. I currently use the twist but want possibly one or more of the mods im going to list for home/weekends/etc because i got bit by the "add to cart" bug already

-eGo twists: easy, functional, decent battery life, cheap, replace the whole unit if it goes dead for ~ $25
-New L-Rider robust: a bit bigger than a 1000mah twist (slightly thicker but about the same height), more VV range (3.0-6.0) a bit longer battery life, replaceable batteries, safety protections and a screen to see whats going on ~$60 for a kit
-V2.0 YJ Lavatube: the mini is no taller than the previous 2 but much thicker, the full size is about an inch taller, generically its a big robust with very similar features/safety with longer battery life ~$75 for a kit
-annnd the inevitable Provari: size is no bigger than the lavatube and also has mini/full size version. they are durable, the most consistant device that money can buy right now, same batteries that the lavatube uses so same battery life and US built... and yeah pretty much anybody you ask will tell you it's the best ~$200-250 for a full kit

I'm still trying to determine if I want something that looks like a female.... well "pleasure toy" like the larger tube mods do and if I want to be cheap or not but I hope I jump started some of your research at least for you since I've been non-stop researching for 2 weeks lol

Cheers and welcome back!

I would really love to try an AC9 with a Provari, but I could buy a new iPad for that much $... Seriously I would be afraid to even look at the thing funny...
