That just is really bad looking. They can't afford to sit back. Pbusardo said in one of his reviews that the sigelei-Zmax is one of the better units made today. He needed a couple of things with the screen done to really rate high. Beware provape.

It was just menu wording and stuff like that. I just got the one with the updated connector and it is really well built, especially for the money. A good vape so far too. If innokin made a VW itaste MVP, that would be a killer device too, the build quality on that is fantastic. Actually if they just bumped it to 6 volts, 3.5amps and added an resistance checker...it would be an ideal device.

In short...they are getting closer.

I think they need to go back to the drawing board on this one... this could have been executed WAY better.

Just sayin'

a Male RCA connector? Really

How about a very large cap and a 90 Deg angle connector recessed so it will at least stand...

-_- Where has American ingenuity gone?

me thinks it went to China, India, and any other country that can pay slave labor wages -_-

:toast: I totally thought the same thing when I saw this thing. A male RCA plug? Really?!?! But maybe they use the RCA ends that Monster cables use on those 30 dollar RCA cables they sell in BestBuy?

The first thing to pop to mind was Robin Williams' standup routine about God doing pot and making the platypus.

Looking at how the Provari is made, I agree completely with this being a totally bunk design.

Now what I would do is, I would have a jack on the side of the unit between the button and lcd screen, opposite side of the logo, where a wall-wart with a mini-jack could plug in and supply the voltage and current necessary. It would require a board upgrade, and a small modification to the tube, but ultimately, it would isolate the battery when plugged into an external supply.

Of course, with the way the board is mounted, the modification would make removal of the board more difficult, and the jack would have to be soldered directly to it, which would probably mean redesigning the board all together. Probably a bad idea also. Why mess with something that works well? I'm fine with batteries, and if I find I need longer life, I'll get the extension cap and throw in an 18650.

I agree Thrasher, I don't know if the Chinese will be able to mount a serious challenge in the near future, but it is inevitable that at some point they will get their act together on the quality/durability front.

The Chinese getting their manufacturing and QC act together? I think that's a never, but I could be wrong. I don't see the Chinese producing ecigs anything up to par with Provari quality, AND warranty.

doesnt even need to be chinese, my buddy at work brought up a good idea, and said if we got funding somehow we could come up with one he wants to call veriwatt made the same way, tough as nails, with excellent electronics and all the battery option plus accessories on one pv with a 2 year warranty. and thats all it takes is someone with the know how, connections and money to pull it off.

Innokin are releasing their SVD - vv/vw. It's not a box mod like the MVP. From initial pics it appears to telescope.

Well I'd be interested in test driving a veriwatt. :D I don't care where they're made if they do what I want.

check out the thread for the the texas stallion, usa made VW in a nice thick alum tube, while it doesnt have the multi battery options a pretty nice VW if it holds up and functions like its supposed to.

I checked it out a while back - but its very big. Too big for me. I was surprised by the size as I had expected something smaller. Supposed to be a reasonably good pv.
So - this veriwatt - just a normal mod size if you can....
