I am no medical professional but I have common sense. You could never convince me it isn't a "healthier" alternative. Their has been some really good studies showing nic can help prevent Alzheimer's so I'm thinking of upping mine. Everything I've read says nic is no more harmful than caffeine. I'm not giving up either one any time soon. So just do what makes you happy everyday because we don't now what tomorrow will bring. Enjoy.

vape on!

vape the world!!

Oh and welcome!! Don't know about your rant, never heard that side of the story, possibly because my hearing is below it's optimal threshold ever since a Ted Nugent concert I went to in the 80's. Also because I don't give a bloody frak what other people say, unless it's about something that interests me. I've learned that if I just nod my head, smile, throw in a few aa ha's, a really? and a chuckle every so often, that I can have long and meaningful social interaction with people without having to listen to whatever is coming out of there oral cavity.

After 37 years of smoking I have gone 5 months without touching a cigarette of the analog persuasion.
I have become a happier and a more positive being now that I vape. So stick it in your azz, motorcycle man, I am a vaper, do you understand?

Damn!! that's a fine vape.

My all time "favorite" reaction when a non smoker sees me vaping is the whole:
*cough*cough*cough* "OMG *cough* that's disgusting. Its smells so bad" *cough*cough* You cant smoke so close the the entrance." all while frantically waving their arms infronna their face.

o_O? Really? You don't like the smell of banana cream pie? Apple cidar? Strawberries? Mint chocolate? Those were the flavors I was vaping at the times I encountered "those people" I detest people like that.

54 days since my last CIG. I feel better, have far more energy, food taste better, I'm less agitated at work no longer snapping at people because I've yet to have my smoke break and even better. 340$ saved and that's deducting how much I spent on gear n liquid o_O

As for your decision to start vaping? Have at it. Enjoy your 0 nic nectar. Wish these devices were around when I was younger. Would've never started smoking cigs to begin with. XD

Great thread, interesting responses. Definitely agree with the majority. I never really was a big smoker, not a half a pack a day, or even a quarter.

I vape because the experience is ecstatic compared to cigarettes, and arguably far, far healthier. There are many philosophies in life, but if there's one that most (if not all) can agree on it's this - take what simple pleasures you can. A cool summer breeze. A delicious thanksgiving meal. And most certainly, yes... a heavenly vape off your favorite mod.

Even if I were to ever kick the nic fit I'd probably go the route of our OP here and switch to 0mg juice. And if that didn't last? Well at least I had one hell of a ride.

Well the surgeon general has already come to the conclusion that their is a direct correlation between being alive eventually resulting in dying. According to the CDC everything results in death. Or cancer. And I'm pretty sure the American Cancer Society is developing a new campaign targeted at the dangers of inhaling. Inhaling anything - period. Just so long as you know what you are up against. Enjoy the vape!

Hum.........American Cancer Society doesn't want us to inhale, Al Gore doesn't want us to exhale (Co2).........what's a person to do?

WITH nicotine there's still no reason for lung inhaling either. All the nic is absorbed in the mouth (and nose if you exhale that way) anyway. There's no or little, depending on how long its held in the mouth, nic left by the time the vapor hits the lungs. Proof: You don't inhale nic gum nor skin patches. Lung inhaling is mostly only done by cigarette smokers because they're used to and like the feel of it. When deciding on anything for health affects or pricey purchasing, its a wise move to do some research... well, unless money is no object and good health is not an issue either. Again, to each their own... however, facts are still facts regardless.

The information I read said that some vapers only get enough nicotine with lung inhaling. So I did my research, not my fault if what I read was wrong.

Depends on the atomizer and the build. Can get a really good lung hit on the Russian rba with my hybrid build. Take to deep long lung hit and it will knock me on my azz, since I have a 15 second vape till cut off.. usually only do one when I read about lung hits, just to confirm it. I don't get the full taste of the vape, but the nic hit is intense. A genesis rba will give a killer lung hit too. I often modify my inhalation technique, can smoke it like a cigar, or puff it like a but, enjoy nose inhalation too. When vapping my Super Skunk juice, I find myself hitting it like a hookah, out of old memory flashback habits learned. It all depends on what you vape and what you use to burn. So you were wrong, but you were right. I totally agree and disagree totally, depending on my juice.

i started vaping because I felt like it. But I found that vaping sweets like Gooey Butter Cake helps curb my need for sweets. I don't do sweets too often, but when I do, I would consume a whole bag of Oreos or half donuts... But I vape the sweet stuff to get my curb that fix, then eat a couple of Oreos so my body gets what it wants. No more overdoing. In conjunction with that, I have cut down a whole lot on soda consumption, switching primarily to water and iced tea, with juice. Exercising, and eating better, I have lost 15 lbs in 3 months.

Vaping has done its part in my health, even though I was never a smoker.

That's really awesome to hear, because I need to lose at least ten pounds!

The information I read said that some vapers only get enough nicotine with lung inhaling. So I did my research, not my fault if what I read was wrong.

The nic is actually absorbed better through the mucus membranes in the mouth and nose because the particles in the vapor are larger than smoke is in cigarette smoking. With cigarette smoking the delivery of the nic is through the smoke, whose particles are much smaller and penetrate the lung tissue more easily.

Fact.

I'm not sure if it's quite the same thing, but of course I started smoking because of what others told me to do. It seemed like a good idea at the time to fit in better, but now I'm a little older and I think that's kind of a silly reason. So, I'm moving on to vaping which seems to be fairly well accepted by people I've talked to, of course my smoking friends will probably make fun of me. But I think I can handle that.

Good for you, keep up that confidence!
