just received the wires from ESG and wanted to share my first impressions :)
I ordered 26,28,30 and 32G wires, they all comes on a spool that is itself enclosed in a clear case, and all spools have a small indent to block the wire. All spools are clearly labeled, with the thickness in both mm and AWG units ... spotless packaging ;)
Now the wires ... I've made a first coil with 28G (my prefered kanthal diameter), and the first surprise is how this alloy hold the shape! Not springy at all!! Almost a tender alloy. I made 12 wraps to end with an exact 1ohm resistance on my ithaka v2.
I wicked it with some rayon, and vaped some ESG unflavored 100% VG. The taste? A tastebud equivalent of the sound of silence ... nothing, nada, no taste whatsoever, wich is what i was expecting: no metal taste, no wick taste, no flavoring taste :)
I like these wires a lot !! Thanks ESG .

Could you please confirm that the resistivity quoted on ESG site is correct?
I'm only asking because they're are different to the resistivity for grade 1 Ti quoted on page 9.

Soulseek, the resistivity of ESG wires is mentionned on the product description page on the website. The advertised values are pretty much different from this table, so I assume it's not grade 1 alloy (and Vassiliss so far hasn't disclosed its alloy composition).
For example, the 28G is advertised by ESG at 13,3 ohm/m, I measured it at 10,6 ohm/m. Your table says grade 1 should be 5.8 ohm/m ...

Yes monk, that's basically what I wanted, a confirmation if the ones on the ESG site are correct so that I know what to order.
Thank you

Yeah, it's pretty clear that these wires are not any normal "grade" of titanium (most of which are "commercially pure") but rather titanium alloyed with something else. That's why they don't form white titanium dioxide when they are "dry burned". I verified this when I received my shipment of NR-R-NR wires. The resistance is also considerably higher than straight titanium has any right to be. That leaves the question: What are they alloyed with? Quite a few of the higher-resistance allows contain Vanadium. Let's hope it's not one of those!

I have not spent much time playing with the ready wires other than verifying that they do not produce white oxide like pure titanium does. But my initial reaction is that they are too thin. I normally use 26 gauge or 28 gauge Kanthal and make contact coils with a 2mm ID and wick them with rayon. These go in Cyclones and Kayfuns (although I recently find myself using the Cyclones more and the Kayfuns less). It is possible that titanium wires will require different techniques.

I got 10 of 1.0 ohm ready wires as that's my sweet ohm spot with 0.25mm kanthal but that was not the case with these ti wires :( I get really low vapor out of them...
Luckily got few 0.5 and wow I love those :D my new sweet spot :)
And must say flavor with these Ti wires either 1.0 or 0.5 is outstanding and blows kanthal right out of the water! First setup I couldn't believe it can be so much purer in taste I was smiling all day.
Only thing I hate about ready wires is that they easily break on me on welding point...
Will be geting spools of 0.25mm and 0.30mm for my drippers and Tilemahos of course ;)
Once again thanks guys for making this awsome wires available! I love and enjoy vaping with them and can't stand metalic taste of kanthal anymore :)

Thank you for your nice words Rossum :)
I am sure that if you use the titanium wires in spools you will be very pleased.
And our Titanium is Pure Titanium too, the rest is Magic :p

So im looking into a Ti spool. I don't subohm. Whats size wire & how many wraps for 1.7-2.0 Ohms on a kayfun lite+ V2? thx. Anyone build these Ti wires this high of ohms on a KFL+ V2 that has feedback? thx

I don't sub ohm either . I'm using the ESG Ti wire 0,18 mm. ( available in spool ) 33 gauge . works great for me on penny v3 with KGD cotton . 7 - 8 wraps on 2mm. bit and you will get that ohms . 6 full wraps , 1,5 ohms. be sure wraps don't touch each other . Hope this helps .:)
