could you give us a report on the ESG titanium using organic cotton?

OK, I swapped out one of the rayon wicks for an organic cotton wick. The taste, to me, is the same. So I'm deducing that the 'bite' was from the kanthal.
I will say this, after 4 days, the rayon wick looks remarkably good, especially compared to cotton. It's still white and only slightly discolored in the coil area. And it was performing just as it did the day I put it in, actually it seems a little better, I have closed my juice control one full turn and get the same great taste and vape.
The Ti coil is in great shape also, so good I'm still using it! I just washed it off with water and lightly brushed it with a well used soft toothbrush. And the ohm reading is exactly the same as the day I built it.
One more thing I noticed. The well below the coil, in the AC area, was almost completely dry! I'll see how it looks after a few days using cotton which should determine more if it's the wick or the Ti coil aiding this.

OK, just a little update with the cotton & rayon with Ti.

So 4 days ago I swapped the rayon for organic cotton on one of my existing builds. Well some sad news, the cotton failed today, and looked miserable,,,lol
The cotton looked deteriorated and as I was pulling it out of the coil, it was just coming out in blobs,,lol The coil looked worse for wear also.
The rayon on the other hand, in my other build, has lasted 7 days and still looks really good and was flowing juice rather well at this point with plenty of good vapor. It pulled out in one piece and still was light in color, except where the coil was. The coil cleaned up OK and I could have probably got a couple more days use out of it.

Left side is rayon uncleaned coil,,, right side is cotton after coil was cleaned.
Just wish I thought about taking a pick of the cotton coil before I pulled it out :/

One more thing to note. The well below the deck was once again practically dry with the rayon, the one with the cotton had juice in it.

So anyhow, the cotton went on to the "archive" shelf and I rebuilt both tanks with new Ti and rayon. Which in my opinion, is the best combo for flavor and longevity! :)

Same here. I just ordered some of the .50mm wire, but now that I have re-read this thread, I am almost regretting it. Correct me if I am wrong, but don't the different grades of Titanium utlilize the same metals to make up the alloys? So Grade 1 from one place should technically be virtually identical, metallurgically speaking , to another, right?

I am asking. I don't actually know. I am purely speculating here.

If anyone has any knowledge on this, feel free to share. Also, If anyone knows of a stateside distributor that sells Grade 1 in a smaller guage than 24awg (.50mm), let us know. Heck, at this point I'd be willing to purchase some from a shady dude, in an alley, selling coils out of a trenchcoat or a briefcase.

Yeah, I am waiting for ESG to re-open so I can grab some from there. Have you tried the .50mm? I asked Imeo and he suggested .25mm and .30mm Titanium wire.
Can't wait to get some!!

0,5 is great sub but it wastes a lot of battery energy. Better use 2x0,25 twisted or 2x0,3 twisted wires

Makes sense, I wasn't sure if it was way too big or not... I'm going to have to get acquainted with the resistance of titanium.. what is everyones favorite titanium build? I'm wondering if it would be better to have a longer microcoil, a larger coil, twisted, etc... the lower resistance is going to open up all sorts of new possibilities!

For those of you who have already been messing around with the Titanium, I have a few questions. I just ordered the .50mm wire. Imeo, you said that it drains the battery (quickly, I assume).

I am running 7.4v with 2x18350 on my JGG. My current daily RBA is my Ithaka with the new internals. Will this wire work better for me than for those using 18650s? What would be the optimal setup? Should I just avoid using the .50mm wire altogether? Do I even have enough room in the Ody for a coil that can handle 7.4v?

Thanks in advance.

SS, look how things are:

0,5 Ti doesnt drain your battery. I only say that with thinner but twisted wires you vape for more time. So if you enjoy vaping with 0,5 wire then you are totally ok

As for the 7,4 volt vaping, of course you vape muuuch longer than a person that vapes with a single 18650 battery and your pleasure is way better!

As for Ody, I have used 0,4 and 0,45 wire and it vapes wonderful. The resistance you will make with this fat wire will be smaller than usual but the wire is so fat that even if you vape at 7,4 volt you will not have any issues at all. To my opinion you have to make a resistance at 1,2ohm with a wire like this. Ody will accepted, no worries

Really want to try two 3.7 IMR bats and Vape at 7.4 V. Yosi Vapes grand opening in Toronto today had to miss it was looking forward to it and wanted to say hi Nice to see more BM opening.http://youtu.be/KozI4xgskBA Should be ready in about 10 Min
