To Get a Provari....Or Not?

Now that you've told us about the wife, how do you like your ProVari?

But honestly the the Provari is where it's at. I've only been using for a week and I am convinced that there isn't another APV that in overall form, funtion, reliability, and durability can come close to it.

There really is not a regulated 3.7V APV that really comes close to Provaris exquisite use of PWM. This thread stated that a seigelei was hitting 100 cycles per second..compare that to the 800/second on the Provari. How can someone possibly say that less frequent pulses will give a smoother vape? The ppl who say provari offers a smoother vape are correct. Anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves with false logic or simply hasnt used one. Or they are bitter that their cheaper APV is performing up to snuff.

I love provari but that doesnt mean other mods arent useful. Au contrare. Buy what works for your vaping habits and budget. Many ECF vets continue using 808s and joye510s and cigalikes. YMMV!

Oh, but don't I wish I had found the ProVari before the three cig-a-like kits (easily exceeding the cost of the Mini plus add-ons). The Egos worked out OK and are now a backup to a device that never seems to fail. If I add it all up I could have bought 2 minis plus goodies by then.

Economically, it only made sense to me.

I'm using the 18490's with the extension and go through about 1.5 batts. 1 ohm duel coils @ 3v with fairly long airy draws. Regardless of your build, the extension cap and 1-2 18490's should be bought IMO.

In regards to customer service, they kinda ...... me off. I had my only 18490 in my moms mini for about a week (she hasn't converted yet). It drained the battery down to 2ish volts. Considering I had no idea that a week or so would drain it that much, I wanted to see if I could use my bs rewards points to get one more 18490. Yeah, I didn't have quite enough points yet to redeem anything, but it was close. Probably $15ish value in points when you have to have $20. 2 provaris, batteries, extension cap, and they can't replace my battery that could've vented in my house because they only say 'don't leave batteries in the device for LONG periods of time'? I've had an rc car battery sitting around for 6 months, so my idea of 'long time' was at least a month.

Anyways, I have two provaris and love them, but won't be buying any more. I was actually going to get a few more for relatives, but no thanks.

Like I told the customer service girl, she could've at least offered to send me one and charge me for it. CS is about finding solutions to customers problems, she failed on that one.

For a long time, I used Provari look-a-likes.

Such as Vapilogy's wraith, the Pompeii from DFW Vapors and stuff.

They worked just like my Provari does. However it seems as if they broke more often. However, even with this knowledge, I still would not have bought a Provari, mine was a Christmas present. If your current ecig goes up to 6 Volts, just treat it like it costs $800 and you wont have a problem with it.

Provari is a good buy... even if you decide to sell them for an upgrade, the second hand market value is pretty good.

I bought one. I love it.
My only slight disappointment, and it is very slim, is that it lacks the variable wattage function. I like that I can set my Vamo's wattage and it can automatically adjust the volts to the ohms of the ato or carto I'm using.
But it seems like adjusting the volts is already becoming second nature.

Well, the only reason I posted what I did is because I didn't feel like being rude or passive aggressive towards TRoxx. I don't think any of us should compare other peoples mods to rectal thermometers, robot d***s, or any other negative thing. That kind of thing is usually said by people who hate ecigs and this commmunity.

For all I know, TRoxx was just trying to be funny, but if someone is proud of their new setup...don't compare it to something gross...come on now.

So really, my comment was indirectly saying to ebweaver 'don't worry about it, my setup has been made fun of too'. I happen to think his setup looks great, especially with the proring. I'm jealous.

However...
I really do believe that it is important to point out the design flaws in a product.

Edit: If you don't mind a bit of advice, judicious application of petroleum jelly might make "design flaws" easier to overlook.
