I currently have a Vamo and a smoketek telescope mod. I enjoy both mods and I love the variable wattage feature on the Vamo. I am considering gettin a Provari just because everyone speaks so highly of it. I am not sure if that is a good enough reason. Is there a significant difference between the Provari and the Vamo? What features would I gain by going with a Provari?

I don't have a vamo but reliability is definitly what makes Provari so damned good. I have 2 of them.

Will be there possibly a new Provari version with variable wattage? I think I would be sold if there is. As of right now it seems to have less features. I know its blasphemy because its American made and the quality is superb.

Provape, the manufacturer of the Provari, has recently responded to email questions that there are no plans for a variable wattage model or upgrade in the near future. So if waiting to find that out was a reason to buy or not, now you know.

I realize its American made and the quality feels very nice. I guess I can't justify getting one if that is the only difference.
warranty, servicability, excellent customer service. upgradeable when they become available and nearly indestructible.
when that vamo breaks try to get it fixed and see what happens.

its not a big deal or blasphemy everyone isentitled to vape how they choose, but a quick trip to the Prov forum will show you all the posts from peeps who found out VW isnt all its supposed to be.

It has the lowest cutoff for resistance of any VV I believe (cuts off at .8, so .9Ω is as low as the user can go). This is useful for some. Only way to beat that is go Mechanical.

It is also extremely accurate with its voltage output. It'll provide a completely consistent vape until it shuts off at the low battery voltage.

What do you mean by upgradeable? Do you mean software upgrade? If the Vamo breaks I wouldn't be bummed much since it wasn't that expensive. I would simply just buy another unit. Maybe by then there may be something better out.

thats the idea behind the proV you dont have to buy another anything, ever. if VW is that important the PV isnt it but buy 3 60 dollar mods and you bought one provari.

and when/if provape releases updates a small charge will get yours upgraded too. they have done it in the past and stated it will stay that way.
if trashing something and buying more is not a big deal to you then go that way. personally i would rather spend the money now, once, know i have a warranty (up to 2 years) and move on to playing with gear never worrying is today the day my prov quits.

I too own a Vamo...ordered a Provari this morning! I wanted the best, without spending even more on a Darwin or Caravela. I just got to the point that I could no longer just ignore all of the positive reviews! BTW, received an email 5 hours after placing the order that it was ready to ship! I cannot wait! Now I'll have 4 PVs!?!?

Provape offered an upgrade from V1 to V2 for $20 + shipping. So instead of buying the new version, you can send in your V1 and get it upgraded for around $30 all told.
That's actually really cool of them. Second time I've heard of a company doing that. The other is valentine 1 radar detectors

actually because its old news its just 20 and they ship free back to you, bought a V1 in the classies and had it upgraded, they didnt charge return shipping.

if for nothing else in this business there is such a flood of new stuff from china everyday and noone cares about last weeks product, except for provape, they 100% stand behind the product and treat every customer as if it was the only one.
i sent emails on Xmas eve, and didnt expect anything. i got a reply in 2 hours. they absolutely will not leave a customer hanging. they believe in themselves and they believe in the provari. they are not a thanks for your purchase now move along kind of company.
this has led me to forget my other mods and buy 3 proV's i could not tell you off hand what box my vamo is in.
