Long time vapers. Quick question.

Do you guys slowly ween yourselves off the nicotine level or do you just keep vaping the same levels as you go?

They way I have approached this so far is that I'm changing "brands" so all my juices have been ordered at 18 which is what my analogs are at. Does there come a time where you cut to 12 to 6 to 0 or just be happy that the tar and carcinogens aren't there and stick with what works?

Depends on what your goal is. I want the monkey off my back, so I have been weaning my nic level downward as I go. I started at 24 mg and a week later dropped to 18, then two weeks later dropped to 12, with little trouble. Below 12, I had to mix levels to go downward in smaller amounts. But, I have successfully, over the last 6 months gotten down to 0 to 3 mg nic. So, it can be done and vaping makes it real easy.

There are actually quite a few that vape 0 or very low levels of nic. Some then have also quit vaping. It's all up to you.

From looking at US vendors 24mg seems to be the default on most juices. I'm assuming that most of them are pre-blended that way as the blenders preferred taste?

Kind of like ordering different is messing with Bud or Miller's beer formulas? The pg/vg/mg levels are their "prime flavor" Change one and it changes the entire flavor and recipe?

I'm content to vape forever if it turns out how I think it will. It's more about the throat hit and big exhale then anything else psychologically but at the same time if I could ween myself off I wouldn't be opposed(and the reflex of hand to mouth now that I think about it).

Just looking for general opinions on it.

I've stuck with 24mg since starting (3 months), but I got a free bottle of 12mg when I placed an order with Mt. Baker and honestly when I used it I didn't notice a change in my behavior or cravings which leads me to believe I could go down to perhaps an 18mg strength... more and more I'm getting the feeling that smoking was and vaping is more habitual than anything else. I have no plan laid out, but I'm staying alert to my feelings on it all.

I started with 18 mg - but it felt too strong when I first started. Likely that was just getting used to the vapor - but I ordered 15mg on my next order. I have been doing fine on the 15 mg - had to occasionally use the 18mg for a few weeks - just when I was having thoughts about having a cigarette.

My last order - I went with all 12 mg - we will see how that goes. If it goes well - then I will continue lowering - if not then I am happy to stay at the 15 for awhile. Since I didn't even plan to quit smoking - right now I have no plan to quit vaping. :vapor:

I started at 18mg; tried some 12mg and found no issues. Eventually, tried some 10mg because a vendor's site went 0, 5, 10, 18, 24. Now, I use 10-12mg just depending on where I order my juices. I like it at this level, so no plans in the immediate future to lower my nic level.

So in your opinion it's a healthier alternative? I'm fine with that as both the economic (11.86/pack) and health benefits outweigh my current behavior. I was just testing the water to see if it was a habit breaker or a replacement, and since I decided on ecigs I assumed it would be a replacement.

This just helps reinforce what I thought going in. It's the better alternative to tobacco.

I have only been vaping for about 3-4 weeks. I ordered 18 and 12 mg juices. I like to use the 18 mg early in the day and 12 at night. I vape the 12mg at a higher voltage and it kind of makes up for the slightly reduced throat hit. I am just taking things one day at a time, but have no immediate plans to drop my nic level or to stop vaping.

Congrats on the 2 months (banner), the longest I ever went was 6 weeks and all my friends hated me in that time. If this can get me what I need I have no problem vaping it forever. Everyone should do what works for them and if I need to sustain the nicotine or cut it out is something to be seen, but cutting out most of the garbage in analogs is a great step no matter what anyone says.

Have you smoked analogs in that 3-4 week period to supplement vaping? My plan is once my eGo is here I never buy another pack again.

Been vaping for 3.5 months stated at 12 and been planning on weening down to zero. Im now down to 6. I have been fine with it. I'm a big chain vaper. I noticed when chaining at 12 I would get really anxious and have difficulty sleeping. But chain vaping at 6 has been great for me. I do vape 12 when I do go out for drinks. My goal is by the end of the year Ill be vaping 0 nic to zero vaping altogether.

My plan is when My eGo shows up I'm going to charge it, load some carts (only have 4 flavors coming) and get totally tanked. If I can make it through the night and the hangover with my ecig the analogs are gone forever. It'll be my 1st and hardest test. If it fails I'll try again after I get used to the flavors. I will kick them and all my excuses are evaporated thanks to this tech.

Actually this tech is preferable since I gain some of the freedoms that I lost as a smoker back, and I keep seeing that side of the dice as well.
