I think Exchaner likes his at 10% (of the 10% solution) as a stand alone but he's pretty hard core lol. I tried it once at that strength and it was actually pretty good but a little too stout for me. Even at 10 percent it's still like you said though, the flavor just ramps up and it doesn't go sideways, or at least nothing my tired old taste buds could pick up on anyway.

I have both the TFA Cherry Blossom and the Ina Cuban TA and I don't think I've tried either with the Rustica yet. Hummm, I think I feel a little mixing session coming on this evening lol.

Wow you ain't wrong. The Cuban and Rustica really do play well together. I was a little worried back when I ordered the Cuban because of reports of the strong ash note, but as it turns out the ash isn't that strong even stand a lone. It's mostly just a good leaf flavor to me.I think you will like the cuban JD[emoji4] Cherry Blossom sounds interesting. May have to order some next go round.

I am a little surprised at how sweet this mix turned out though. To me the Cuban is a little less sweet than the Rustica so I figured the sweet would be cut back a little but it doesn't seem to be. It's perfect for me, no em or sweetener needed lol.
Yeal, this mix is a keeper. I could vape this all day long any day of the week.
I have the Cherry Blossom mixed but I haven't tried any of it yet. I'm too tied up in the Rustica/Cuban mix at the moment lol.
As far as a peach flavor, the Inawera fruit flavors seem to get a lot of good reviews. Of course they've probably got half a dozen different ones so it's hard to tell what to start with sometimes. I haven't tried it myself but here's a glowing one word report on a peach flavor from the Ina thread, and it looks like BC has that flavor. Also read next four posts on down. JD I found the cherry blossom/rustica got rather cloying in a chemical way by the time I finished my 6ml sample. I'm quite picky on flavor. Racking my brain on what I might like with the herbal quality of this TA, I tried TPA red oak. Mistake! My fav is still honeysuckle/rustica.
Ok now that people are saying rustica has an herbal taste I am not so sure about trying it. I do not like any herbal tasting anything let alone a vape.

As pointed out in your itty bitty thread, we all taste a little different and all I can say is I don't get honeyed, fruity, animal dung, or herbal. Cigar-like and typical of dry tobacco I can agree with and it does land slightly on the sweet side but to me it's more of a natural sweet and I don't get even a hint of honey.
It might well be one for you to pass on though because it does have smooth but bold grassy/hay notes.
I'd say maybe try some of the Hangsen tobaccos first. Maybe Ry1 which has a nice light tobacco flavor or something like that?? You can always try the Rustica later if you decide you want to.

What I get is grassy, raisiny and sweet with maybe a tiny hint of leather/dung but it's a tiny hint. As a stand alone, it would take some getting used to for me. To add a grassy note to another tobacco flavor, this is the one!
I don't want to put anyone off of Rustica. I seriously believe I taste much differently than most tab mixers. Over the years I have scoured tasting notes and made notes trying to hit on flavors I will like. I have yet to find a mixer with similar enough sense of taste to be able to follow. I have a strong aversion to the most common flavor additives in a tab concentrate. You know, nutty, grassy, ashy, roses, molasses or overly sweet. I have less than a handful of concentrates I like and they run across the flavor houses. This daiyrmans daughter is only familiar with alfalfa or oat hays. Chewed many a stem at the hay broker choosing a load to buy. Never tasted that in a tab flavor. Maybe hay is different where yall come from. It tastes like no grass I have ever chewed. Cowslips are the closest I would say compares but not really close except the natural sweetness.
To me, I pick up the leather in the nose moderately strong but it is mellow in the vape (10% concentration mixed at 1 drop/ml) the rest described in odor is lost on me. I do not find it dry or cigar-ish at all and I smoked 9mm cigars for decades.. The sweetness which I typically do not prefer is quite pleasant, possibly because it is natural? It has a brightness to it i have never found in a concentrate. Maybe that is considered fruity, but can not identify any specific fruit(s). The closest I can describe the herbal note I detect is balsam. Possibly sweet woodruff if it tastes as it smells. Never tasting tobacco leaf I have no basis to compare. I just know I really enjoy it mixed as above as an ADV. It is my new favorite. Droppig down might really change things but I have enjoyed it too much to play around with percentages yet.

Dixie, I thought you already had the Rustica? If so I'd say definitely try it. If you don't have pga then just use pg if you have it and vg if you don't. A very easy way would be to warm about 5ml of pg in hot tap water, or 4 seconds in microwave, scoop in a speck of the Rustica about the size of a drop. It mixes pretty easy when warm. It'll separate back out some so if you're using it in a tank just put a couple ml to vape up and don't leave it over night. As far as your mix, when you go to use it again just warm it again, give it a shake or two and you're back in business. At least you'll know if you want to invest in some pga to mix it better or find a new home for it.
Sorry if I gave that impression, I do not have it yet. I tend to think about some things way before I try them. I was thinking maybe in September I will order some.

Oh and yeah I will get some PGA just for it. I finally got around to my cherry blossom/rustica mix and I'll have to agree not a great match for me either. Not too sweet for me really because I have a huge sweet tooth, but maybe too floral or something. Cherry blossom is an interesting flavor though and, imo, well named if you think about how a cherry blossom smells. I wound up adding some more base and some vanilla, caramel, cream and Inawera cherries and turned it into a desert type mix. Pretty good, pretty good.
Long as I can drown everything out with vanilla and caramel errrr I mean ENHANCE with vanilla and caramel I'm pretty much good to go lol.
Haven't done any mixing lately but wanted to make sure this thread stayed alive [emoji4]

Well as long as it's a tiny hint , don't want an overpowering "dung" flavor but thats just me.
Not overpowering at all. You have to be a little sensitive to it to even detect it. Not long ago I mixed a batch of VZ Snuff Box flavor at I think it was 2 or 3 %. Big mistake. Pure leather / dung flavor and I couldn't get through one tank of it. Ever since then, I've been able to detect that flavor at very low levels. I sort of know what I'm looking for when trying to taste for it.
I don't notice the "dung" either. I would say it's more of a hint of earthiness maybe. It mellows with time.

No dung ? That sounds alright to me then , not that i would have a problem with a dung flavor but it doesn't sound very appealing thats all, some dung might be OK , depends what the dung came from i suppose.
