Kind of a Buzz Junior. It's a nice niche for people who need to keep that initial outlay contained, or don't mind having to change batteries to keep size down. Cracking the $100 barrier for a full setup (charger, two pairs of batteries, initial atty or cartos, a little eliquid) makes it able to aim for a wider space.

In my opinion (which might not be worth much) I wouldn't mind having to change batteries often on this device, because it would not be the one I use most often. MY BP would be my everyday PV. I would use this if I was heading out for a few hours and wanted something to fit in the pocket better. I get pretty darn close to a day (s0metimes more) from BP, so if this device I am picturing could do 3 - 5 hours that would be awesome!

Moo, it would still have the kick of the Buzz but it would be very lanyard friendly :) My lanyard is the ONLY thing I miss about my Ego knockoff, the Buzz is just too heavy around my neck.

I never had a lanyard for my tornado, so I guess I don't know what I was missing. I though about getting the lanyard on my griff holster, but decided against it as I just couldn't see wearing the BP as a necklace (to big and heavy)

I know I am being difficult and should love the idea as I asked for a mini buzz long ago, but as soon as I heard the word "ego", it turned me off! I know I am being stubborn.

I think business wise it could be a good move so that all the huge number of Ego users out there ( I always have one loaded and with me) could jump to VV and would also be able to keep up with all the latest in carto etc development which is specifically designed for it. I myself cannot see Ego stuff going away any time soon.

The only selling point I see is the true VV option as a there is no real advantage to having a 14500 over a standard ego batt as I see it. Well batt replacement is cheaper I guess but my ego batts are well over a year old with no problems what so ever.

The gamble is, will the Chinese get there first.

THis design is like the Ego battery design , non replaceable batt. But it has a built in charger port on the device , I hope to beat them at there own game actually , I hope they are not watching !!!!

Personally for me, all my Ego stuff went away, far far away to Afghanistan!

While it was not what I was hoping for in a "mini" buzz, I'll still have to give it a try. I'll either have to pick up an 801 - 510 adapter or pick up a few new attys. Where this is VERY interesting for me, is not for myself but to pick one up for my mother in-law. The hubby and I have gone back and forth about getting her a PV and this sounds perfect. Maybe it will be ready by Christmas time!

I wonder when this project is complete will Notcigs carry any of the Ego attys, etc.

The only real difference is that the battery is not replaceable BUT the charger is built into it Moo ! the rest of it will be Notcigs quality , I have to get the PCB made up ( man this thing is small .5" x .5 " with the pot and control IC and Led and and !! very little space )

That sounds absolutely perfect for the MIL. I'd much rather send her something that is notcigs quality for her first PV. We thought about a BP or Infinity, but I thought she might be turned off by something so big.

And I agree Paddrino, I hope you do get to the finished line first, but if not, the MIL will have to wait a little longer to stop smoking the stinkies!

I still want to beta test it! I've never beta tested anything but software!
