The rain/snow line is pretty sharp right now. not sure where in CT you are, but it looks like along the coast things will be better than the prediction. That's the thing with these Nor' Easters, a little closer to shore or a little farther out than the models predict and you get a very different outcome.

We've been getting freezing rain for the last hour or so. It's a sloppy mess outside.

R.I.P to my first Pico mod... It's been acting wonky lately, (think because I dropped it).. then it started to auto fire 2x when putting on a tank... I have to draw the line when that happens.
Still have another Pico but I am now in search for a new different mod.. this one has caught me eye.. the new,
Wismec Predator 228 (mod only, don't need the tank kit)

    Quick Pico question.

I got one a few weeks ago. When I first tried it nothing happened. I figured out that if I screw the battery cover down all the way the power cuts out. I have to back the cover off just a little until the screen lights up. I got a second one and the same thing happens. Not a big deal now I know the solution.

Is this normal? Wondered if maybe my battery is a little longer than other batteries. I have LG HE2's.

I use Samsung 30Q's and LG HG2's in my Pico and don't have this issue.
I screwed the batt cap down really tight to see and it still lights up.

Edited to add I have a Samsung 30Q in right now.

@Bea-FL - all good. Other than a detour of which I wasn't aware on my way, I've been to client's office and am now back home :w00t:

Yes, if the weather would have been really awful, I would have rescheduled. Just some scattered flurries here - nothing like our peeps out East are experiencing.

Coolest thing tho - I had about 1/2 battery level on my Alien when I left this morning - I did bring another pair of fresh batteries. Made it there AND back, and I still have power - Serp Mini with a 0.75Ω build at 14.5W

Haven't had that issue. Using LG HG2s or Samsung 25Rs.

Out of curiosity, are those flat top or button top batteries (I think LG does still make some button tops)? Did you also look for that dime you were missing in the bottom of the battery tube?:p

Today's lesson learned... and hopefully it will help someone!

DO NOT build 3mm ID coils for the KFL+ Frankenbellcap. 2.5mm max ID, unless you enjoy the taste of melting plastic. My last coil must have been a little higher off the deck than the previous one as well.

Right now I'm using a 2.5mm ID, 28ga Ni200, ~7 wraps at .10 (same coil I used in the CLRs) and it's real good. 2.5mm ID and tight to the deck. TC set for 340, wattage at 9.5... real good build

    ETA: 28ga

I go with 2 mm 28 gauge K1 9 wraps for 1.5ish ohm, run it about 9 watts give or take. Amazing flavor.
