Why are you sorry? Not everyone needs to welcome the noobies! Even I, someone who has only been here since last December, sometimes chuckle to myself at some of the questions I see. And I was asking those very same "dumb" questions not so long ago (sometimes still do ;))

Honestly, I feel bad about it.

If I could take them all under my wing IRL, I could set 95% on their right path in mere hours to days.

And I think in a perfect world, everyone who can should contribute to their successes.

But I found out the hard way, when you confront someone who thinks they know what they're talking about on their B.S., in an open forum, often nobody wins.

This goes at least triple in the newb forum... with three times worse information.

I can't even look in there.

I'll be telling someone about themself by the second click.

So you're talking about people answering questions on the newbie forum not the people asking them? I was going to give you my perspective as it is still fresh in my memory all I knew about vaping before I joined. But if your referring to the existing members answering questions then I'm no help[emoji4]

What really fumagates my Fruit-o-lumes is when someone asks a question that was just answered 2 posts prior....... then I did that very same thing last week. I banned myself for the rest of the day (no moderator needed).

To those, I sometimes reply:

See post #xxxx, above.

If you can't read, what the heck are you doing here??

I belong to a Flow painting group with 10K members from all over the world. The questions come thick and fast and most of the information is laid out in group documentation. People are extremely open about how they do things with process videos and handholding. Immediately after reading the above post here I was tagged to help someone in that group. This was the post

what are your favorite brands of acrylic paints, pouring mediums etc. Also what products give you the best cells. How do you mix everything (ratios) and are the ratios the same when you are doing a dirty pour? When it dries do you put something on it to seal it? And what does using a torch do?I looked in the files but could not find anything that helps me out. Thanks!

Took a breath..........Then on the second day.................

Can you imagine what sort of reaction that gets and she was most upset when people ignored her. How can you help someone that wants so much information without ever having done a bit of research. People write books on this.

Sometimes both.

You never know when a poster will ask if their build is safe then INSIST!!! that they have 50 amp batteries, therefore they should be safe up to 100 amp pulses.

And vaping is only pulsing anyway.

But then...

"ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS WHY MY MOD GETS SO HOT!!!

There must be something wrong with the electronics in my mech."

Then Johnny Joe who just joined last week comes along and "confirms" the OPs suspicions.

Because after 6 posts, all questions or argumentative, Johnny Joe is now a battery expert.

For example

If no part of the coil is touching where it shouldn't and you're still getting a ridiculously low reading, could it be the screws I bought? The ones that came with the tank did not trap the leads adequately
This is what I bought

I often wonder what happened with people who ask a question, get responses and then never come back. I wonder if they ever even read the responses, if they forgot they even posted a question, forgot the name of the website, forgot their log in info...
Funny you should say that.... There was a post on Tuesday about someone asking about a Hybrid mech that he just got... he had not done any research prior to getting it.. and new to the forums. Obviously it made those who saw the post nervous and he was given good advice about the situation... He never responded back makes you wonder... did we scare him from the forum, the mod or ???

Wow, and I thought I was thanking people too much! If not, here it is again, thanks to all of you. I can always count on an informed answer to my questions, often with a little humor added in as a bonus!

Sweetie, dont ever apologize for being thankful. It's nice!
Shawn and Bea dahlinks - I am one who adores obvious manglations of our dear lang-u-age. It shall kontinue, methinks, as it's what I do. Yes, my dear ones, you will find a plethora of obvious Miss Spellings, and other tidbits of grammatical incorrectness.

Begging your forgiveness. Please and thank you.
Kat you don't have anything for which to apologize. Perhaps I should explain my position a tiny bit more.

When I read a published article in a book or newspaper I expect it to be well written and with correct grammar and spelling. In an informal setting such as a forum or a chatroom it's not as important. In these places we write fast, sometimes we get autocorrected and sometimes we post in a hurry and don't pay attention to the way we write because it's not the important part of the post. I have done it dozens of times. And sometimes we do it on purpose for fun.

If I offended anyone with my previous comment please forgive me. I should have explained myself better.

The only time on forums I get truly het up is when the mispelling can lead to mis/disinformation...
