Morning DingerCPA, its afternoon here in the uk :) I want a KF myself, I'm going to try building again! Which would you recommend?

I prefer a bit more air than some of the more traditional TP'ers here. I have a KF V5, a couple of KF V3 Minis and the "chubby" V3 Mini. They're all single-coil decks. The V5 and the "chubby" hold about 4-5ml liquid. The V3 Minis hold about 2-3mL. Decks are a touch bigger on the V5 and the "chubby", but they all build the same. There a a great number of folks who've referenced "Frankenzilla" Kayfuns. They get various pieces and parts and make their own. I think they're more like the KF 2/3.1 bases and various chimneys and bell caps. I had a couple of V2/3.1s that I PIF'd because I just didn't care for that restricted of a draw. So, a lot depends on your style as to what you might prefer.

Cheers!

All of the above. You do have at least three mods, yes? ;)

Uhhh, well, uhhh, maybe? Maybe I need a couple more??????

The KF5 has a very easy deck to build on. Wicking is great on it. It never leaks on me.

@DingerCPA I'd say I prefer quite a tight draw to be honest, probably not as tight as a cigarette draw but I am used to using a nautilus mini so it'd have to be something with the same draw as that!

Let me do some hunting - there are a couple of posts referencing the various "pieces and parts" from FastTech. Those will better mimic your Nauti Mini (which I still have and use occasionally :) )

If I remember correctly, the Nautilus had three different settings on the AFC ring. Did you use the smallest, most restrictive draw, or the largest, more open draw?

Heard the KF5 is more of a restricted dl though, the previous models of the kayfuns are supposed to be more mtl with a tighter draw

It has an airflow adjustment screw in the center pin of the base - I've completely removed mine from all, but you wouldn't have to. You might be amused by a V3 Mini? I'll go hunting - BRB

The nautilus mini is my favorite tank, I'd not really used many others til I got my Triton mini on Thursday :)
I have tried other tanks like the cleito, an the isub when I was giving sub ohming a go and was just not for me.
Found it was to airy an couldn't get a draw, the baby beast is terrible too! Where's the attraction?!

There is a reducer kit for it. . It's kinda like the 3rd largest air flow slot on the Nautilus mini.

I use it somewhere inbetween but I think there's actually four airhole settings
