I have 10 or 12 of those drip tips. I love them! They're small bore which helps with flavor, they look good, wear well, and are cheap! A great FT find!

Yep, it's my second favorite drip tip!

Question about RDAs: I almost always just use 1 coil. Should I be packing the side I'm not using with wick or is it fine to leave it like this? Adding pic in case anyone wants to comment on the coil. It's not very straight[emoji4]

I would say that is a good rule of thumb, but some RDAs have a divider of sorts between the two sides of the juice well. In cases like that where the juice can't flow from one side of the posts to the other, wouldn't it make sense to wrap the wick around the posts so that it fills the well on the other side?

I know it's not the norm, but just wondering.

When I used Orchids, I would split the wick ends, and guide the longer wickends around to the unused side, to soak up any juice that might emerge from the channels over there. Just experiment and see what works for you.

If there's no gap for juice to flow, there's likely no way for wick to go through, either. Most of those RDAs are built that way for airflow purposes.

    It's the RDA.

    1.56 ohm 28ga kanthal ~8 wraps on 2.5mm rod.

I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. Not very impressed so far. Not much vapor at 9W. Took it up to 12.2W and it got some vapor, but I feel like we're heading into burnt taste territory.

Well, I went for the "no guts, no glory" move... kept upping the wattage. at ~15W, it really puts out and no burnt taste. Sure goes dry fast though! I really bought it for juice sampling, so that's no big deal. Good flavor, decent vapor.

I think I'll rebuild it with some 26ga SS and see what it does.

I don't use RDA very often but from what I know you have the end of the wick just touching the bottom of the well.
Is that coil U shaped? It looks like it to me. There is too much inconsistency in the spacing between the wraps, the ends are going to look like hot spots and get hotter faster than the middle where there is too much space between the wraps. Use a wider diameter wrapping tool making less wraps for the same ohm preference and before you mount the coil, size it up to the posts and bend the legs(while still in the wrapping tool) to accommodate the screw holes rather than just pushing them through, small needle nose pliers or thick tweezers work good for that. Spaced coil doesn't always mean space between the wraps, just that wraps aren't touching each other no matter how small the space is. Too much space and the wick between the wide spaces the juice just boils and burns on thus producing lousy vapor. Some of my spaced coils, I can just get a piece of paper between the wraps and hear it go through.

Try putting a 2 mm coil between the posts, enough wick to touch the deck and move with just a hint of resistance inside the coil. Set the airflow holes aligned with the space between the wick and posts.

Do you mean a 2mm long coil, jammed between the posts or a 2mm ID coil, between posts, 180 degrees off of post axis (like this [emoji811])

I'm only using single air hole, that's why I put coil to one side, rather than centered.

Since the coil and wick fill up most of the chamber, using both airflow holes (the smallest ones) is still a fairly restricted MTL, at least for me, your preferred draw might be different.

Single smallest air hole is right on the edge of too loose for me, LOL. I'll try both though. Thanks for the pictures. Hopefully my OCD will allow me to put the coil in canted like that ;)

I believe it will make a difference since now you're "filling" both sides of the chamber.

It that case, you'll probably like the Speed Revolution rda, single coil, 1 mm air hole, no other options. Not sure if it comes with both bf and non-bf pins, it has the bf pin installed.

I just took a look at my Origen Little rda, I am using a single hole even though the coil is set like the pictures I posted earlier.
