With some Lego tires I kept my coil master parts from rolling around and easier to store them without the container. vape bands make it easier to find the size

Get an rta that has a small airhole under the deck, 1.5 mm or less, small deck and tight short chimney.

The classics:
  • kayfun light
  • Erlkonigin
  • Squape
  • Rose
  • Spheroid/heron
  • Phenomenon lite
  • A lot more :)
Any of those will produce great flavor w a good juice and a simple kanthal build

May I suggest looking over here at the NEW Coppervape Hussar, you can get a 1.3mm air tube and a micro tank and chimney, all for about $20+. it is a Clone, but I'm not out to impress anyone, I just like something that will do the trick and keep me off tobacco. Hussar RTA single coil deck (attack of the clones)

Easy peasy spaced coils on the Coil master. There is a vid somewhere, unfortunately I don't remember where I saw it. Basically just wind your coil, grab one end pull it to separate the coils, then push back together. It will leave slightly spaced coils.

Yes, I saw that done on a PBusardo video (Taste Your Juice), he goes into how to do it in the middle of one of his videos, so it's not labeled as such in the description.

Hmm, now I gotta get some tires. Are all the lego tires the same size?
I see that there different sizes. Which size are those?
Doing some measuring tells me that these are 30.4 x 14, correct?

Lessee... location if vapes? My desk, bookcase, and end table (it's actually a foot stool next to my recliner) when I'm at home. My jacket pockets when I'm travelling... or a cupholder if it's being used a lot. My desk at job one, and on the counter at job two.

Cleaning? One singular drop of Dawn stirred into hot hot hot water and 10 minutes in the US, followed by two 3-5 minute rinses. But that's only for neglected tanks returned to rotation. Tanks in regular rotation get a quick rinse in hot tap water, a thorough wipe down and drying, and are returned to use.

Coil cleaning/dry burning? Pulse until dull orange, cool, brush with old toothbrush, pulse again to remove any residue from said toothbrush... Once in a blue moon, I'll pulse and quench in a cup of cold water.

Spaced coils? Fine threaded screws for 30 AWG and under, Coil Master or screwdriver for 28 AWG and up. The Tenna jig, the Coil Master V3, and screwdrivers work better than the Kuro and Coil Master pre-V3 because the length of the shaft needs to be longish.

Contact Coils V. Spaced Coils? I use spaced in anything regulated and contact in my mechs... the logic here is as spaced coils heat and cool uniformly, the heat retained in a contact coil is detrimental to wicking and flavor. That same heat retention, though, makes mechs feel far more responsive by reducing the ramp time on subsequent pulls.

Geez! Nobody told me cleaning and organizing my desk would become mission impossible...

This is just one side... the other side is far worse, and then there's the side table, and the bookcase.

I've decided to go get another bookcase today to assist with the cluttet...

View attachment 651139 I always wind a couple more wraps than I need, and pull off a wrap from each end.

That way works pretty good...Thanks Oplholik.
Just sat down and built a 3mmID 28 gauge 5 wrap, came out to 1.2, enough to fire my provari. My work vape coil needed to get replaced very soon and this make it somewhat easier than on a bolt. Its been a long time since I used the coil jig and again I learned something new just like sweeping the bulk out of the tails with a pick rather than cutting it out with scissors, things that are so simple that one just doesn't think of...back to the sharing aspect of this great forum.

I have no idea where or from what kit those Lego tires came from, there been so many Lego sets come through the house over the years. I have a huge Rubbermaid tub full.
My caliper readings were for this tire are 21mm wide, 12mm thick and ID of 11mm. I did a google search to try to find them and came across what I think they are here. I tried in the Lego site but whoaaaa I would be days trying to find them in there.

edit..they are all the same tire. Your after a tire that has a ID of 11mm if you can find that stated on the site the tire is.

that's what i do! is it the tank or RDA?

It's the RDA.

1.56 ohm 28ga kanthal ~8 wraps on 2.5mm rod.

I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. Not very impressed so far. Not much vapor at 9W. Took it up to 12.2W and it got some vapor, but I feel like we're heading into burnt taste territory.

Would you do the Tank any differently? I have both - I'm not sure I'm crazy about the wicks around the posts (which is how I do it now.) I just don't want the coil to "suffocate"

With an RDA, wicking isn't too much an issue because the coils are dripped on/painted. With an RTA, wicking is tricky... too much wick and the juice won't travel (dry hit), and too little wick can lead to spitback and leaking.

What is the purpose of quenching a coil?

The sudden temperature shock can harden the coils, and loosen any remaining gunk. Makes it cleaner and easier to re-wick.

EDIT: I don't do it often...
