Interesting... I've been considering getting a dna device lately after having been using the ArcticFox firmware and toolbox on a few different mods. Seems like the devices lack a bit of consistency between one another. Kind of a small sample set to judge by, but I also realize they are cheap devices and expect inherent limitations like that. The ArcticFox firmware definitely takes the devices to a new level. I'm assuming the dna will be a step above (or a few steps). I'll also take a look at the Yihi 350j v2 now.

If you want an unsolicited opinion I'd consider heavily how much if escribe you'll regularly use before getting wow'd by it. It's amazingly customizable but it's a hassle to tweak (though once you set it you can forget it). The new dna75-c chip has a color screen and adjustable on device without needing escribe.

The 350j v2 can be customized too on the computer. Pretty well. I find yihi default profiles (powerful +, powerful, standard, evo, etc) are more than enough for me in terms of preheat but he way we vape in here really doesn't call for much in the way of preheat as we are t using four aliens triple twisted 24 gauge wires. Lol.
Anyway. Escribe is cool. But ultimately I wonder how many people really use it. I only ever open it to clone settings from device to device (which fails half the time) and to diagnose why most of my atomizers don't work well in temp control on the new evolv chips. So while it has his huge geek appeal ultimately I don't find it too useful.

The yihi chipset is definitely a better fit for those who want to pick up a device and go imo. Getting a dna75 and not configuring it with the computer isn't a great idea unless you are sure the case analyzer and mod resistance has been properly set by the builder. Many of them don't set that and you have to run the process

Yihi has a simple power mode if you don't use temp control. Fwiw.

Ultimately the evolv chipset is good. But not great. The yihi chipset seems great to me. For power delivery it is on par or surpasses my provape products even. The radius and p3. I can't say the dna75 is as good as the radius for pure power delivery. And of course the provape boost mode is fantastic. It can be mimicked on the evolv or yihi chipsets.

Hopefully in that verbose word salad you'll find something to help you make a decision. ! Have a great day.

How far down do you extend the wick tails?

I wick To the deck. You can't really tell from the pictures on fasttech but there's a place to kind of tuck them in below. Kind of like the digiflavor siren. Pictures don't really show how much of a cutout there is.

Maybe this will help

Only wicked once... I didn't go all the way to the deck, simply put down that top groove, but not all the way to the deck with the tuck. Wicking perfectly... I suspect it will wick very well either way. I'm running 100% VG thinned with a bit of distilled water, but still pretty thick juice. Not a single issue after 2 tanks.

Just got a kraken tank. Wow dual vertical coil building is NOT easy. I wonder if I could get away with just one coil?

One coil will fit fine . The other takes another half a turn to get to where it needs to be. Does that make sense? And it's my understanding that dual coils need to be exactly the same.

Coil hasn't been straightened out yet. Here's a good example. See how it makes an additional turn? Can I use just one coil?

Both coils do need to be identical... or, at least very close. But, the other coil doesn't need an extra wrap... dunno where you're getting that...

I've decided to practice dual vertical coils on the Origen, will be revisiting the kraken at a later date . Maybe what I'm doing wrong is wrapping both coils clockwise. One always fits fine the other requires an extra turn on order to trap the leads correctly. I obviously need more practice. I know what I'm doing tonight!
