There isn’t one if the battery they’re rewrapping is available in your country. There are some smaller batteries like 14500 and 350 that haven’t been popular and rewraps are the on,y way to get the cell inside. Like the mxjo 350 and aw 14500 I think are both not available cells outside of those rewraps. I could be wrong but I’ve never seen info on what is being used inside them. Which says to me they have a partnership out of Asia for those batteries. The aw is actually a 340 not a 350 and is pretty low capacity at 650 mah. The mxjo is a solid 700 and the one so bought have lasted forever and were 2/$5
But I think you nailed it. The most important thing is that the batteries are authentic. Rewraps tens to inflate the numbers for usb ohm cells. Some rewrappers are claimed to have a deal for the “a” stock but that’s bs as far as I can tell.
Have you ever looked into mooch's tests here or on Reddit? His blog here on ecf is brilliant.

I wear my typos like the badge of honor they are. Then I try to go back and fix them, so refresh.![]()
Actually the AW 18350 is 800mah & 12a CDR, and is an actual 18350.
The mxjo 18350's you mention were so inconsistent they couldn’t be tested. ---> 18350 Battery Bench Test Results and New Ratings Table
AW (Andrew Wan) is one of the very most respected experts / outlets for quality cells on this planet.
His company buys cells from high quality cell manufactures. He and or his staff inspect & test each individual cell for quality & performance.
Only the very top tier of these cells tested are labeled with AW wrap & holographic AW logo sticker, the rest are either resold or recycled.
When you buy an authentic AW cell you are buying a cell that has already been tested & proven to be top tier quality.
Re wraps?, not really, the cells are purchased from manufactures bare, they only get the AW wrap after inspection & testing proves their quality.
Of course this highly respected high quality image makes them a target for counterfeiters, if you didn't buy from an authorized AW dealer you have a 95%+ chance of having counterfeit/fake AW's.
