Working with one doesn't particularly worry me, as I am definitely a TP and not pushing any limits. It's deciding on a device that won't cost me an arm and a leg but is still reliable and just going for it. I am notorious for buying the wrong thing in a haste. I don't want to make the same mistake on this one. I am expecting a bit of a windfall sometime this year, maybe next year (inheritance type stuff from my dad passing last year), and a couple mechs will be on my "time for a treat" list.

 just tell them you're on your manstrual cycle.
You can pick up a nemesis for very reasonable price now and that mod was used w kayfuns by many for years.

Throw a protected 18650 in there and you're good to tootle puff to your heart's content, right?

Me too, but I prefer having a nice stock of the stuff I love, especially mods and RTAs. I already make my own coils and juice :)

I bought enough mechs to make sure I would always have a vape. Then bought enough regulated to make sure I would never have to use them.

When you can get a mod for less than a pack of smokes it make sense.

The only thing I don't have a reliable source for is batteries.

I still have yet to try a mech mod. I figure I'm safer with regulated devices due to my lack of knowledge of the mechanics of mechs!

As a tootle puffer you'd probably be fine with a mech mod and a quality 18650 as I understand it.

Chelzie, I like to store unused tanks on unused mods. They become the perfect holder for the tanks and some drip tips.

Another option, and pretty inexpen$ive is an acrylic stand like this one. I love it. It's tiered and holds a FEW of my tanks......

My dad is like kinda crazy paranoid and he kept a box of tampons in the trunk of the car because he read that was a good way triage bullet wounds
I keep tampons in my survival kit.

Tampons saturated with petroleum jelly makes teriffic fire starters

So do Brasso pads. I found that out in the NAVY. They don't really want to stop burning though. Had to throw it over the side of the ship.

I'm not really interested in getting a mech mod. I have AIO MTL devices that work in a similar way and they have safeguards.
I want to have a few as safety net. I don't ever want to smoke again and if worst really does come to worst I need to have something I know I can fall back on if/when regulated devices are not as easy to come by. I don't know if it will really ever get that bad, but what if it does?

I'll try to remember that, or at any rate I'm sure I'll ask for recommendations when that mech money is burning a hole in my pocket.

But in a pinch you could do the research and bring yourself up to speed, the same way we did with coil building and DIY. When you want or need to learn something you make it happen.

I store my unused tanks the same way. Cosmetic holders/lipstick racks hold tanks perfect. At least up to 22mm. I don't have anything bigger than that though. FT actually carries them too but I got my tiny one (9 or 12 slots, can't remember) at the dollar store.

The great thing about the Nemi now is it has been around for awhile and there are quite a few on eBay for under $10.

Size 000 and smaller steel wool makes a good fire starter too. It will burn even when wet.

I hope I didn't burn any fish. The thing never appeared to go out. Just kept sizzling as it went below the waves, out of sight.
