The 1Ω and 1.5Ω are NiCr and can't be used in TC.

I know. The 1.5, 1.0, and 0.50 are the ones that I use in my EVOD Pro. But they can all be used in the Cupti. The Cupti also uses the 0.15 for TC:

"...a tank on the market with prebuilt coils that work in tc and are tootle puff friendly."

The Cupti has pre-built coils, works in TC, and is also tootle puff friendly. It's an AIO so it's a tank/mod.

I meant *coils* that are both TC and tootle puffer friendly (simultaneously).
I struggled with wording the sentence and failed to convey my meaning anyway.

My Arctic V8 has TC coils that give a nice MTL vape on a restrictive drip tip with the airflow wide open, by the way.

Interesting. Looking at the tank there is nothing that says to me it would be nice for MTL.

Gawd I'm glad I don't have those coil whoas.
I wrap a coil, 3 months later wrap a coil, 3 months later wra...............
Would you believe I've been doing that for over 5 years now on the same damn RDA?!?

1.8 ohm coil with silica wicks in an A7 on a Caravela mechanical mod.

    Same here.

    Me three...
Although I've changed it up a bit using some stainless steel wire with temp control.Still using my Kayfun Lite clones with the same amount of wraps.Stainless steel coils seem to last as long as kanthal,a good couple months.

No biggie. I took it as a challenge to find a versatile 'tank.'

I smoked pipes as well as cigs. It's like using a pipe. The trick is to get the right restrictiveness on your airflow. That tank isn't really all that airy. It has four small-ish air slots that create a lot of turbulence. I bought some flat aluminum restrictive drip tips from My Vapor Store after I broke a plastic one off of a different device. I tried one on that tank, and I was surprised by the feel of it. You can take an MTL puff or a gentle DTL puff on the thing the way I have it. I ended up ordering an e-pipe to use for it. Just waiting on that slow boat from China for it to come in.

Just got that lavabox m dna75. I'm glad I only paid $32. Now I'll get an idea of how properly functioning TC should behave when using other cuter, tinier, comfortable-to-hold devices.

Thanks to @h00ligan for the heads up on this deal which lasted - like what? - an hour?

DNA 75 is well worth that price tag however the device looks and feels. Never found better TC control yet.

Am I correct in saying that it is impossible to change the screen such that the Watts number is not the biggest one on the screen?

I find the mode navigation very frustrating and non-intuitive

A lot of things are easier to do with the escribe software.

Have you downloaded and hooked up to Escribe on windows? You can change most settings through that.

Hey lil_buddy- thanks for your input on the lavabox.

I got mine too. I think it seems very well built. I wouldn't take the light weight as an indication of build quality. Instead they used lightweight aluminum. The plastic door could have been aluminum too. But I don't mind it.

The waY the battery goes in and he fit finish and absence of button rattle tells me this is a reasonably good quality mod that had some good attention to detail paid. My impressions are very positive at first blush. It's about the same size as every other DNA 75 mod. If you want to get smaller with an evolv chip you need to look for a DNA 60 device.

The fact we got it for $32 is a steal to me. Even at the sale price of $54 I think it would be a good buy. At $100 I think it's beats the vaporshark DNA 75 switch box for build quality (the vaporshark finish peeled / chipped badly) and for light weight. It's also shorter.

Overall my first impression is I'm thrilled with it for the price. I do understand the complaints about the dim screen. In bright sunlight it may be hard to see. I'll Have to see how high its set in Escribe.

Bear in mind the DNA 75 chip alone costs more than we paid for the mod. I'm not sure how they were able to sell them with this coupon (my guess is once they realized people were stacking another 30% off that's why they ended it)

Overall compared to he smy DNA 75 the lavabox is way better due to the light weight and fit and finish. My guess is if we opened them up he lavabox would have significantly more robust wiring too.

It's a masculine looking mod and I find it very comfortable. At least the corners are angled not just square which to me makes it comfortable.

Anyway I understand why you may not like it (size/ design/ etc) but I do think it's got good quality from what I'm seeing. My smy will be shelved and kept around for parts should the chip inside the lavabox fail. The 510 on the lavabox is definitely more robust with a nice strong spring and solid 510 threading.

While it may not be the best design ever for a DNA 75 I think it's about average compared to most and the build quality is definitely better than many from what I'm noting.

Just my $.02 on first impression. Obviously time will tel on reliability and finish. But I'm happy with it. If you want to see some pictures of other DNA 75 mods let me know. For those who don't have one it's about the same size as the evic mini but more comfortable to me.

I agree it seems solid and well made. But for me, I would have been annoyed if I'd paid more. $32 is an acceptable amount to pay for my little science experiment that will live in the garage. It's unlikely I'd get another another DNA mod as I'm feeling real disappointed with the interface. If I'm going to shell out $60+, I expect to be wowed and to fall in love.
