Any tootlers have an eyeball on the kayfun Prime yet? I have to say I'm pretty interested. I'm hoping to receive a chunk of inheritance at some point and I'd like to splurge on a high end atty, wonder if this will fit my bill. Or my poor self will wait for SXK to hopefully come out with one.

It looks good for tootling but I will wait for someone else to try it first.

A wonder of old age are cataracts. I had them in both eyes and had corrective surgery with lens implants. I chose one lens to be for distance and one for near vision. After a short time for my brain to adapt to this oddity, I go without glasses except for driving. The one down side to this procedure is that I don't have the best depth perception without binocular vision. So, to the great relief of fellow drivers, I use distance glasses when driving and have the depth perception.

I read with little difficulty, some type faces and paper quality are easier than others. A paperback on very ink absorbent paper can give me some trouble but much better than before the surgery. Making coils is somewhat difficult and I am looking at some kind of magnifying device for that.

After three years, I would do this again.

Glasses? I got a set of progressives about 3 years ago... they're trifocal with a gradual change in focus.

Water heaters? Ours is chugging along. I know it's more than 7 years old as that's when we bought the house. The O2 sensor and igniter is bad, but I broke the glass when I was making a repair, and it works fine with a match.

Bad pictures? Not happenin'

They wanted $350 just for the progressives lenses not including frame.:( So I went cheap and still spent $369 for everything.

Small Up-Date on FT...The order I mentioned recently with the single missing Drip Tip changed...The drip tip was to be ready on 9/28 all AOK...2 other items that were to be ready on 9/27 got changed to 10/9/17...I cancelled those items to allow the rest to ship now...Those 2 items were almost half the $$$ value of the order...I just hope they realize I can have those 2 items on my Doorstep in 4 days for an additional $8 "All In"...

I shop as carefully as the next person...But $8 doesn't go very far with my time and patience !!!

Bastids wanna take ya fer all yas gots.

I have to wonder, sometimes... Last time I went shopping for glasses - about 4 years ago - I found it ironically amusing that glasses with no frame to speak of - just tiny little wires for the temples - cost so much more than any other set of frames.

FT has gotten better about their shipping, I think, but their stocking has gone to pot. Seems every time I order something, by the time it's ready to ship, one item is put onto back order status. Doesn't bother me because their gift certificate/exchange policynis so good and fast... unless I don't realize the issue until I've already been waiting a week... also, I'm seeing A LOT of pre-order stuff show up... ugh!

Blew out my chore boots, stepped on a fence post,
sliced my foot had to go to the doc.

Now my foot's elevated,
Wishing I was sedated,
Yeah I went and got a tetanus shot.

Does this mean you can only get around on your flying broom.

Dagnabbit, Shawn, didn't anyone tell you to NOT step on the pointy end? :w00t:

Good on the tetanus, cheap insurance. That's what got Thoreau's brother, iirc, although from shaving.

I expect you'll be able to make some nice broom straw pads for that crutch ;)

I took poetic license. It was actually the spade from an old T-Post that had broken off in the ground. It was hidden in the grass, sticking up about 2-inches. Ouch!

Ouch! Foot injuries HURT. I managed to drop an ironing board from where it was hanging about 3 feet up straight onto my foot. The end cap had come off, leaving a raggedy sharp metal edge. Thank god I was wearing Australian Lambs wool slippers because the dang thing sliced right THROUGH them, into my foot, and also broke my pinky toe. I really thought I was going to pass out, and I discovered I HATE foot injuries.

This was back in the day when I was still taking opiates. At least there was that, I had no clue that foot injuries could be so painful. And, I'm usually barefoot, too, so I was quite lucky, I think I would have been the lucky owner of 9 toes, otherwise.... "Anna, She of Nine Toes," well, it kinda has a nice ring to it, but I would have been very annoyed for yoga purposes... I still wander outside barefoot in the mornings in the dark, dodging two traps that the husband has set for the packrats.... I guess I like to live dangerously.... I really shouldn't do it as much as I do, but I can't seem to help m'self.....

Feel better soon, Shawn. :)
