Mom's surgery went well today getting the pacemaker, was a long 12 hour day with the driving and all, but happy it went well. She has to stay overnight to make sure it is working properly, then she will go home tomorrow. :nun:
Yay!

(did I post this before? did anyone else? oh welp.) :vapor:

Love it (not a day goes by that I don’t use one of my Picos)! Thanks for sharing!

It's not firing. No matter what topper I put on it.
Did you clean the contacts? Mechs need quite a bit of care to function properly. I will let @Shawn Hoefer (or some one else more knowledgeable than I ) field this one since he has this mod and is familiar with it.

Thank You ALL  Still have to wait and see if it works ok. But I was watching the monitor before the surgery, and her blood pressure was going from the 60's to over 120's and the blip thing was skipping beats and scary unsteady, after the surgery it was steady between 60 & 70, and the blip thing looked a lot more uniform, not perfect, but lots better than it was. I feel this was a good thing for her, but she is not out of the woods yet. :nun: I did get her an emergency button system that she can push in case of an emergency to get help. It is just a little less than $50 a month, but will give me peace of mind that she can get help quick if she needs it. :)

I don't have that mod, but first things first:

break it down as far as you can and clean everything. warm soapy water should do the trick. I use a toothbrush to get into hard to reach places. I then use some fine sand paper to ALL contact points. you're not trying to take of any metal, just polish it.

if I still have issues, and I KNOW the battery and atty are good (ie they both work on a different mod) I break out the multimeter. do you have one of those?

ETA: I also use the back of a mouse pad or a pencil eraser to clean both sides of the battery.

Great news! She'll likely have monthly visits for a while to gather documentation and "tune" it. My MIL did, now it's just every 6 months.

Yep, cheap peace of mind, and if ever needed potentially a life saver.

@SKYYcamel is the switch off? There's an on/off safety switch with a white rubber grip right above the bottle and behind the switch. Can you take a pic of the interior of the mod and post it?

I like mechs. The Pulse is a mech ergo I like The Pulse. That does mean that it's not for everyone, though... Knowledge of Ohms law, building to suit a single cell, knowledge of battery safety, etc.

Hey @Trigster ! Haven't seen much of you lately. Far too busy with your new purchases no doubt! So glad your SXK Prime tank is going well...and the Marklin 3031 is terrific!

Pleased you like the Xmas avatar. Far too hot here (34C/93F today) for reindeers so the skippys have to get to and help Santa.

True story.....
