dipped out of the 40's (39°) actually turned the furnace on...

new HVAC unit install like 5 yrs ago, tested heat but never used
thought I should turn it on for a test run, burnt dust stunk up the place - ended up not hardly using it...

i was MIA for almost two weeks. I didn't get my alerts via eMail as was supposed to happen

I don't like the notifications, just too darn many of them a day in my email to delete, but then I'm here off and on all day long anyway, so don't need em. I suppose if one has a life tho, and can't be here all the time, they could be handy. LOL!

always out running errands, using Wi-Fi to download books, movies from Amazon Prime for entertainment. to my tablet computer or iPhone 4S.

my only Internet is the data plan on my Android phone and I NEED the alerts.

I don't like the notifications, just too darn many of them a day in my email to delete, but then I'm here off and on all day long anyway, so don't need em. I suppose if one has a life tho, and can't be here all the time, they could be handy. LOL!

busy getting my belongings north of Tucson to Southern Tucson, getting groceries, running errands, etc. using free Wi-Fi at Wal-Mart, fast food places.

as a Prime member of Amazon downloading movies to my iPhone 4S so I have something to watch.

Nice to know you are OK TwoBears, although I'm sorry you aren't getting your alerts. Big server thing happening on Friday, hopefully that will remedy the problem (I am being optimistic).

Alive and well. just busy as a one armed paper hanger.

I still want to meet for coffee but got way too much on my plate right now.
getting boxes of belongings from storage to my apt via the SunTan bus takes a lot of trips and time. Hopefully be done in 3-4 more days. then a few pieces of furniture cross town will have to hire someone with van or truck.

That's odd. What email service do you use? Perhaps the alerts are being shunted over to a "spam" folder or somehow they are being classified as unimportant. Is it possible that you left the browser window open on your phone? I don't get emails for alerts if I am surfing the site.

both are Google. Gmail.com for e-mail and my web browser aid Google Chrome

OK. I would look for folders named "Social" or "Forums" and "Trash" to see if the notifications are there. I would also look at the "Gmail" app on your phone and check the "Settings" tab for "Notifications." There may be a setting in notifications that is either off or set to only notify you for "Important" emails.
