I'm back after a 3 day, 3 night forced hiatus. I was sitting here at the computer Monday evening about 5pm and got real dizzy, then blacked out and started convulsing. The whole episode lasted about 10 seconds, and it took awhile to figure out just what had happened, and I waited about an hour and it happened again. this time I told the wife to get me up to urgent care. It happened again on the way there, and several times while checking in and being seen by the staff, and doctor. They put me on the EKG machine and called for an ambulance. Once I left there and was admitted to the ER it didn't happen again until later in the day on Tuesday, and a few more times during that day, and Wednesday. During my stay there I had a cat scan on my head, and lungs, then an ex ray of my chest and lungs, an angiogram on all the main arteries from my heart, and up thru the neck. What it finally came down to was the bottom half of my heart was skipping a beat and not getting blood to the brain. So last nite they installed a pacemaker, and said problem solved. Man that was some scary stuff going on there.
Fortunately, that was the only thing they found wrong, and fortunately that after 55+ years of smoking, and 7 years of vaping, everything else is working as it should. I think I'm lucky.
Now I just gotta catch up on my sleep. Not one decent night's sleep in the last three nights. ZZzzz.

I've been out of town for a couple of days and just saw your post! I am happy they found the problem and that you are getting some rest. Thoughts are with you

That ring just above the chamber? I did a quick search and I'm not seeing any diagrams/pics with it off of the thing at all.

I looked too and didn’t see anything which is why I asked here. I mean it looks like it could come off but I’m not able to remove it

I just did the most Tootle Puffer-ist thing that I think I have done in quite a while. A friend of mine from work gave me a Wotofo Serpent RDTA that he wasn't going to use any more - complete with a Clapton coil that he had made. His coil was pretty thick, and read 0.5 Ohms. It was well done. Much better than I could have made. But not something that I would really use, and the 2 ml capacity of the RDTA meant that I'd plow through the reservoir (gonna take some power to heat up that thick wire) in an annoyingly quick manner even though refilling on this topper is very convenient. So I grabbed an incredibly thin gauge premade 1.50 Ohm coil (@ChelsB you'd recognize it as one that you gave me) and replaced the wick with cotton. I now have a very Tootle Puffer-y topper that gives me seemingly instantaneous satisfying vapor down to 8 Watts. And that 2 ml is going to last a long time at this rate.

I tried searching for "Aspire Triton exploded view" in a Google image search and got a bunch of results. But none of them came back with that piece removed.

You are not alone, I have purchased 2 Geek Vape Zeus tanks, already coiled and wicked one with
a 1.5ish ohm coil and am really enjoying the flavor running only 25 watts.

I have a STM styled base and it keeps getting the “no atomizer “ reading. Is this fixable or just toss it?

Ensure that the center pin is shoved far enough into the base to make contact with the coil.

This is a different tank I just pulled out. It’s not screwing in all the way but still works. I’m assuming this is only an issue of aesthetics and not actual performance?

Well dropping it or putting pressure on the side of the tank could (would) break the 510 connector in the mod.
These will fix it!

Is the receiving pin, on the mod, spring loaded?

Is there an issue with the threading?

some tanks have a longer 510 connection and some mods have shallow 510 sockets don't remember if it is joutech or innokin but one of them have shallow 570 sockets
