At my next birthday I will be two years from Medicare. :(
I still have 3 1/2 years to go.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me
Martin Niemöller (1892–1984)
I think this is trivializing a serious subject. We are not going to receive the death penalty for continuing to vape. And once they crunch the statistics, they will lighten up. We are self-appointed guinea pigs.
Except that by banning / crippling vaping, it IS a death sentence for many. Just not immediate...
True. But, taking away basic freedoms is still very serious. I'm old enough that I remember when the Constitution was the American religion. It's not anymore!

The efests work... Only, I'd have to say it's a bit shorter than a "tad" as far as runtime in my opinion. I was able to get some authentic AW and if you have to have something right now, unfortunately probably the Efests may be your best bet, unfortunately. I was not pleased with mine's performance compared to AW batteries. I really hope they get restocked quickly. Also, I'm pretty sure... pretty sure... that the button top AW 18650 can't be beat as far as performance, although I know Samsung makes a button top, but I had trouble finding vendors who had them in stock (after argh, ordering the entirely wrong Samsung button top first....)

Very frustrating when manufacturers have an issue (a flood, I think) and I hope they are more easily found... Soon.

Anna

In my P3s I'm running Aspire 18350s. And they are great. They are rated at 1300mAh. None of mine tested at 1300, but I haven't had any go below 1200. The only problem is they are flat-tops and won't work in a ProVari 2.5 or Mini.

@JUMA55 @Bea-FL:

Some Efests here on Clearance!

Clearance - 101 Vape

If you have an extension cap and can use 18500 button top Efests...they're $7.49 BOGO here. I've dealt with VaporRange before for these and other things and have had no problems. Reviews for the batteries are good, too.

Efest IMR 18500 1100 mAh 3.7V Rechargeable Li-Mn High Drain Battery Top Button BOGO

Thanks for the sites. I've still have 18490 AWs. But my 18350s eventually held so little juice not to be worth using.

Medicare with a supplemental is great, at least it has been for us, I just hope it stays that way, but probably not.

My wife is on Medicare with Blue Cross supplement, and she likes it.

The whole system is so rigged it makes me sick to think about it. A year or so before she turned 65 she had operation to replace the "drain-pipe" from her eye to her nose. Total bill was $20,000, which regular health insurance paid. Right after going on Medicare she had the exact same operation on the other eye. $10,000. Same doc, hospital, etc.

And I can remember when they took cigarette ads off TV. "It's just TV. The companies can still advertise in other ways." Yeah, right.

Thank you. What's the difference between red and purple?

I believe the purple is designed for somewhat higher amperage operation, closer to AW capability. From an old thread comparing the 18500/18490's:
 • AW 18490 1100mah 16.5 amps continuous
 • red Efest 18480 1100mah 8.8 amps continuous
 • purple Efest 18500 1000mah 15 amps continous

Although this is for larger batteries, I think the relative amperage difference is similar. All more than double the maximum 3.5 amp draw a ProVari V1-2.5 allows. Even if their capacity is overstated, still fine for a ProVari.

It is all about power and control; there are people for whom it is the greatest drug ever. They never stop, they get what they can today; they'll be back for more tomorrow.

I did the same and ran across these:

MXJO 18350 700mAh Battery - Button Top
So which ones are you getting - Efest of MXJO? I've always only used AW IMRs because Mooch recommends them. Hubs used to be a firefighter so he wants me to stick with proven bats.

A lot of people seem to think the Efest are ok. If you all agree I think that's what I'll get if the AWs don't show up soon.

I have the same question. I use my provari minis 24/7 and am about due for some new 18350s. I googled them this morning and came up with this site but know nothing about these bats and found nothing on Mooch's charts about them.

18350 Batteries

Bea, Mooch did give an "average cell-to-cell consistency" rating to the Efest Purple V2 (button top) 7A 700 mAh batts.

And JCinFLA - another great find!!

Since RTD is out of AW 18350 batteries, does any one have a suggestion on a brand and vendor for 18350 button tops? I'll be using them in a ProVari Mini, Nautilus 1.8ohm coil at about 4.1 to 4.3 volts. Nothing crazy. Thanks.
This place has the Efest 700mah on sale for $3.99 and Efest IMR for $5.29 but I don't know anything about this company.
