I bet it’s so fancy, you don’t even have a bright orange extension cord running to it!I have a basement, so my auxiliary fridge( note the fancy name, sophisticated) lives down there.

Ain’t that the truth! No orange cord? It won't work.
Thank you! I had a hard time, but much better now!
Not only orange. It has to be long to power half the town.No orange cord? It won't work.

Yes, many old cords on heating appliances were wrapped with ASBESTOS cloth! Others were just cotton or something. The actual electrical insulation was a rather thick rubber on the wires themselves. I have a friend who collect old lamps, and he had many specimens like that. When I was very young, all of the coffee pots, waffle irons, toasters, and the like had cloth woven cords. I may still have a couple somewhere in a drawer. If I find them I'll put up a pic.Am I imagining things, or were there electrical cords wrapped in fabric used in the USA decades ago? I seem to recall seeing that as a child when visiting elderly family members.

By the way, the plugs on those were also designed to be replaced! Dont see that much anymore,do you?
You could use a pass through if you want a wire.Well, that ruins my idea of vaping an extension cord then.
Is that your stash, or a pic from 'net ?You mean like these?
