Don't use that, but maybe something bolloxed up in the top air flow adjust?

Something is definitely bolloxed up in that air flow. It’s all crudded up. I’ve read that I am not the only one to experience this air flow issue.

I knew there was a problem with my unit when a reviewer said it was a little open and didn’t have an option for MTL Vapers who want a very tight draw. What ! Mine is so tight that I think my Adam’s apple fell out from trying to suck too hard!

What is it? Looks like some of my old JoyeTech 510 starter kit components, if I took a SS battery from 1 kit and Black 510 atty from another. Still have a bunch of working fine batteries and 5-pack boxes of the little attys in several colors.

Could a tear down and aggressive cleaning clear it? I've had metal shavings stuck in KF center pins that were missed at the factory.

Orange CV Ming, atop a black non-punched carto (Boge?), atop an XL ciggielike.

    How's the vape, Anthony? ;)

    It’s a 280 mah 510 battery I purchased in 2010 and an 801 cartomizer I purchased in about 2011.

Some of those older 510 atomisers have such good flavour that I wonder if we have made any advances in vaping in 10 years. Pod mods definitely do not have the same flavour as those old 510, 306 and 801 atomisers.

Possibly. The vape store I purchased it from agreed to replace it and aren’t expecting me to send it back which is good of them. I got it from Vapr in Australia and am impressed at their customer service.

I don’t know what the cause is but a search on google reveals that I am not the only one who has received an OBS MTL tank that is very tight to the point of being unusable.

The OBS Cube it comes with is fantastic. It works well with MTL tanks and sub-ohm tanks. I’ve used an ebaron dripper on it which looks sick and then used a Smok TFV4 on it at 75 watts.

I still have unopened 510 cartos in a box with my eGo and my Joye 510 cig-a-like. I probably need to unwrap a carto and juice it up for old times comparison. Those are what made me kick the cigarettes to the curb and never look back.

I once took a Joye 510 cig-a-like battery apart to see what was inside. There was a tiny metal tube an inch and a half long about the diameter of a #2 pencil inside covered in shrink wrap with 2 wires connecting it to the positive and negative case contacts. No wonder I could only vape for a couple of hours without recharging.

That being the case, I'd try the tear-down. Not having to return it means no cares about possibly voiding a warranty. May wind up with two. :)

Gosh, you even got the drip tip pegged lol. I wasn’t even asking about the drip tip. I wouldn’t even have known what the drip tip was but a Ming does ring a bell. Where can I get more??

The battery is a 280 mah battery which I got in a kit back in 2010. I still have 5 of them and I have a bunch of KR808s as well.

Good guess with the Boge but it’s actually an 801 carto. I think I got them from Eastern Mall in China? I think I got the name wrong but there was a large vape vendor in China back then similar in profile to elagomall.

It’s surprisingly good! With 12 mg nicotine it gives the perfect vape. As much as I love my vintage vape gear I wouldn’t use it for long if it didn’t give me a satisfying vape. I’ve put pod mods back in the non-usage pile faster to be honest. The old style cartos have better flavour than most pod mods.

PS: Boges were the best. I’ve still got a tonne of them from several years ago.
