But it sounds like the melo atty is not great?
I have great luck with both the Melo 2 and Melo 3. I only had one Melo 3 leak and that was after 3 months of use. Replace the 0-rings and good to go. The coils are good to for starting out. Just be sure they are primed. There is also an ECR coil if you want to recoil and wick your own.

:)

I like the melo 3. It is definitely not a tootle puffer tank, but I think it is good. I liked it much better than the v2 or v1.
On the pico I can run these coils around 16 watts or so which is close to 3.7 v. They work fine for me.
Lot of flavor and vapor. Just because they can go much higher doesn't mean they have to.

As someone who doesn't have an upgradable mod, why would you have to?

They add features and/or bug fixes. The Pico firmware added some different choices for display parameters, a logo screen, puff timer, and a power ramp up feature for one of the TC modes.

I did the upgrade for the logo screen... which I ended up not liking anyway.

Hubby uses v3 & V2 and strangely prefers the fill on the v2 but the vape of the v3

Still using the vaporesso ceramic coils though.

Send it back for a replacement.

That's a bad weld job.

Without tearing the wrapper off, there's no telling if that's safe or not.

BUT! There's definitely a chance it's going to be a problem in a mod being off center.

So don't even try to salvage it? I figure if my batteries get to the point where they need rewrapping I will just get new ones because I'm not comfortable with rewrapping them. Although who knows, maybe I will watch a couple of videos on the subject as they get pretty abused in the Hana modz!

Nice...I bought the black Pico, can almost hide the mod with a Kayfun Lite atop in my hand.I really like the smallness of the Pico,it fits in my pocket perfectly.I hope you enjoy yours,I'm really liking mine.

The off center battery should be taken care of by IMR - contact them with your order number and the photo.

On wrapping batteries, depending on your mods you can just wrap over the old wrapper. I've done that with several HG2 that had picked up a scratch or fraying.

The double wrapped batteries are a no no for my tube mechs (too tight for comfort), but fit fine in my regulated box mods.

Thanks, Mark! I emailed them already and sent them a picture. Hopefully they will replace it without any issue

The earlier Pico's had a habit of slowly creeping up in power by .1W whenever you changed the atty. Temperature control refinements and other minor software issues. If you don't use TC you'll probably never need to upgrade your firmware on any mods unless there is a major issue.

I stopped using the stock firmware on my Pico and Cuboid. The third party firmware "ArcticFox" brings most Wismec/JoyeTech devices close to DNA functionality (Monitoring, Profiles and TFR capability). Which is pretty sweet for a $25 mod!
