Yup and that was all my post was about........the wine part was my sense of bad humor, granted. We don't want you to make ANY exit, especially in an explosion!!
Thanks Shawn!
I just want to know what you have against wine lately!Yup and that was all my post was about........the wine part was my sense of bad humor, granted.I'm not the best with words but actually I did have the best of intentions and felt it needed saying.
If I have lowered the risk of her hurting herself or others then I can take it on the chin that I was a little too blunt....
Oh and good to see you !
LOL (((Atcha))) Nothing but it ain't Friday.......I just want to know what you have against wine lately!![]()
Note that although the CLR coils are rebuildable, they come prebuilt and are about the same price as the CL coils. The thought is, you could use the CLRs and save them when they are no longer any good and send them to a kind soul (no idea where to find kind souls, but...) to rebuild them for you. Thanks Shawn!
I do use 70/30 pg/vg so maybe the cl's would be okay, but why chance it.
I know I can't rebuild because of hand issues, that's why I asked.
ETA heading over to eGo ONE tank series – CLR coil now
Jeez, way to cast doubt on and smear the reputation of one of the pioneers of 'safer' vaping batteries. Someone that has done more for battery saftey as it relates to our use than anyone else I can think of.
Long before Mooch there was AW, but as folks do, few listened & many ignored and ridiculed the 'saftey police'.
The most frequently 'cloned' batteries are and have been for years the sony vtc4, vtc5 & Lghg2 to a lesser extent the Samsung blue wrap 25r.
None of these manufactures have done a single thing to prevent or lessen the likelihood of an end consumer getting their hands on a fake cell. The above fake/clone cells are widely distributed today.
That's why most folks suggest buying cells only from reputable vendors.
AW almost immediately after becoming aware of the fake / clone cells with their name on them put anti counterfeiting measures in place.
This was several years ago.
They made several public statements sharing those measures & advising all customers to only buy from authorized AW re sellers / vendors.
That is why I recommend ---> http://www.rtdvapor.com/aw/ for all battery purchases.
Thanks for all the input. I went over to the thread you suggested. Grest advice over there.I love the Ego One V2 WITH THE CLR COIL. Maybe some of the complaints are from the original coils, which were not the greatest. The 1.0 ohm CLR coil is suggested for MTL Tootle Puffers like us. Anyone who orders the CLR coils, be sure NOT to get the .5, as this is reported to be a much more airy draw. I have not had leaking issues. We have a dozen or so Ego One tanks in use, for at least 6 months now, and have only put aside ONE COIL that I accidentally shorted out while rewicking. There is an Ego One thread with many names you will recognize from this thread. It is located here, and you can get all the advice you will need: eGo ONE tank series – CLR coil
The thread has been going for over a year and the most recent info is near the end. It is a long thread, full of friendly people! Hope you get the answers you are looking for. The Ego One gets my vote. We've used Nautilus, various Eleaf including GS Air line, some Kangers and Halo and we like the Ego Ones the most. BUT ONLY WITH THE REBUILDABLE 1.0 COIL!!!![]()
I don't blame you. I would feel exactly the same had those comments been addressed to me. In fact, I think anyone would.Ummm....okaaaay. Guess I know when to make my exit
DITTO!!!!!I don't blame you. I would feel exactly the same had those comments been addressed to me. In fact, I think anyone would.
For the record, Chels, you did exactly the right thing. You had questions about a battery, you took pictures and asked for advice. You took that advice. For the life of me, I can't see what's dangerous about that. It was a safe and sane way to handle things.
Even though you don't feel welcome on this thread anymore, I'm hoping you stick around ECF. For what it's worth, I think you are a great poster and have added a lot to the discussion here.
Couple problems with that.
I was merely politely pointing out that AW (Andrew Wan) batteries is a 1 man operation that is indeed actually from Hong Kong, China.
He used to have quite a presence on candle power forums before over seas shipping regulations banned lithium cells from air mail.
I've actually bought cells directly from Andrew via candle power.
Now he no longer has that presence.
Either way, I wasn't casting doubt.
And indeed, the AW brand was absolutely the most counterfeited brand at one time.
You and I both remember the time not long ago when it was the only brand even known to be counterfeited.
BUT!
I believe you've missed the post I made in the other thread where you were posting to @ChelsB to get AW button tops for her Provari 2.5 WHERE I CLEARLY STATED TO HER THAT SHE SHOULD LISTEN TO YOU because they were the correct battery FOR THAT MOD.
To round things out, it's prudent to mention that AW (Andrew Wan) IS NOT a battery manufacturer.
Lest one be confused as that info is not offered.
His business model and ethics do set him aside from other battery rewrappers.
A grade, tested cells, yes. But too at a premium in a market that unless you specifically have a need for other than 18650 flat tops, there are plenty of better performing cells on the market.
Also, it would be wise to support the other well known, trusted battery vendors as they're not vaping specific and are likely to be immune to tariffs and draconian rules levied on the vaping community.
But hey, better to cast doubt on my battery knowledge.
It surely isn't helping anyone.

Quite correct, my misunderstanding about your previous post.
I apologize for casting any doubt on/about your battery knowledge.
Just me, Ive attempted to & at times still attempt to do business with a certain few of the recommended vendors.
While many others may have satisfactory encounters with the same well known vendors from my experiences, I'll never recommend them.
I have several businesses, one of my businesses main functions is to test all sorts of batteries including the exact cells we use in vaping for non vaping sensitive applications, I too know & have extensive experience with batteries.
And it shows good sir.
Thank you for your response.
It shows great integrity.

No worries.I feel terrible, I did take your one response about AW completely out of context, again, I am sorry about it.
One of my other businesses is raising beef, it is calving season and I'm running all over the country checking & tending my cows & heifers. Taking calls & texts from ranch hands charged with caring for other zones/areas, added to the demands of my other business leaves me a little frazzled this time of year with just enough down time to read & respond on the forums as a distraction to the blistering pace then hurry up & wait syndrome.. I haven't had a nap since,, heck what day is it.
None of it an excuse for insulting another knowledgeable experienced member.
