The Liberty Valance Effect lives on ("When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.")
The P3 connector is definitely a lot tougher than a 510, but the 510s are fine too. In five-plus years I've dropped dozens. The next one I break will be my first.
Again - the P3 is a lot tougher, but options favor the 510, and by a ridiculously large margin too. I recall exactly when & where the term "Structurally weak" got associated with the 510. It's not the first time that someone tried & failed to eliminate 510's from the market. The interesting thing is that it's the same person, over and over again.
It is my opinion that the term "Structurally weak" overstates a problem that effects a relatively small percentage of vapers. Then there's the reality that the P3 connector is simply never going to eradicate the 510's, and it's unlikely that it will ever even assume a significant share of the market. If it ever does become the norm, I'll jump all over it. But I'll wait for the market to determine that, and continue buying all-compatible 510's so I can use them on all of my devices.
KR808 was going to take over too, back in '`12(ish), and how many do we see still hanging around these days? Not many.
