Just curious - I never hear any mention of the Protank 3's. Any reason ? C-r-r-a-a-p?

believe the reason the ProTank 3 is no longer popular is due to SUB-Ohm'in
was a matter of evolution the bcc (single coil) then they jumped to the Dual coil (bdc)
then introduced the the big SQUARE subtank coils, so the smaller bdc got left behind (& bcc)
VCR's still work OK, but WHY if you can use a DVD disc (Blu-ray)... :|

upload_2016-5-13_0-19-59.png

I was never a fan of the bdc due to the fact the mass of the coil wire was too much for my low powered devices (at the time)
it's one reason I adopted the single coil that I still employ today and get along just fine with :D

Do they have a go fund me or anything like that. I feel like I should help if they need it.
Not to my knowledge. It's been a long time since I've talked to Issac, I tried to help him out on an issue a few years ago, and couldn't, unfortunately. Just threw away a bunch of his mini-tanks last week in fact. He'd sent them to me to see if I could fix the tight fit issue. But now that he's folded up, I didn't see the point in keeping them anymore. Can't really centerless grind alum, and I couldn't find another way to save them.
Like I say, I need to call him anyway, just don't want to bug him at the same time. It's awkward at best!

@TrollDragon I'm looking for a new topper for my Pico, and it seems like you've tried most of the small ones!
I'm wanting small, doesn't leak, decent capacity, decent price and looks decent on the Pico. Following you on the Pico thread I was looking at the Goblin Mini, there's one in the classifieds, but it seems like a leaker. The Moonshot, seems like it's a lung hitter. Same with the Bachelor nano. I looked into the KF V3 mini, but there isn't anything mini about it!
Which leads back to the GEM clone. TC can come and go, not an issue for me one way or the other.
So please, I welcome your input!

Well there is not a lot of tiny RTAs that are MTL capable, the GEM is MTL only and works quite well. The first problem is they are out of stock on all the majors except for the B version on Fasttech, which you don't want. 3F lists the GEM as discontinued and FT shows the non B version ships in 7 Days... A few tanks on FT we all wanted back in 2015 where stuck on the ships in 7 Days for months, so it is no guarantee it will show up again.
$19.03 GEM Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 5ml / stainless steel + glass / 21mm dia. at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

This clone version is not without its share of problems though and does require a little tinkering to get it working. The 510 pin is too short and requires a bit of engineering. You can install a small airflow grub screw before you put in the 510 pin to shorten the hole depth, this gives the 510 pin something to stop up against. Or do like the people do in the product discussion pages and install a Kafun V4 510 pin instead. That option requires you to take the 510 pin out to get at the deck unless you grind the shoulder off of the pin. It also seems some people are experiencing rust in the chimney, I don't have that problem so it could be they changed manufacturers for a bit.

The Moonshot is definitely a DTL atty, I put a pair of fused Claptons in mine today and vape it at 100W on my Cuboid. I did not try it as a MTL tank since it is dual coil only.

If you can get past the possible leaking on filling of the Goblin Mini V2, it could possibly be a good MTL atty, I have never tried it that way though. The Flavor is exceptional from it and there is a learning curve to get it wicked properly, preventing leaks or dry hits. If you do get one, get an Authentic since they are really not that much more expensive than the clones.

The Theorem is small and can leak if laid on its side. The notched coil provides excellent flavor but requires around 40W to come alive, or to be run under TC. You can put a regular coil in it, but I have not tried it MTL.

There are a few tiny sub ohm tanks with coil heads you can rebuild. I don't use anything that requires a coil head so I have no experience with those tanks.

I am going to call on @ccwaters @Shawn Hoefer to see if they don't mind giving you a recommendation for a small MTL rebuildable RTA.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Hey guys why not use the Pico RTA on the Pico mod. Its super small, top fill, holds 3ml, great flavor and looks decent too. I have one and it is in my rotation.

Puf, you are a bucket load of information that I so appreciate!

I do enjoy my PT2'S because I'm comfortable with simple. I've been using them since I began this journey almost 10 months ago and have learned how to fiddle with the wee beggars when they're acting up.
PT2'S are difficult to locate now and I'd like a couple more for my tiny stash. I wondered about the PT3's because I've been able to find them. But, the reviews haven't been great.
Are you able to suggest something similar to the PT2? I'm strictly MTL and have no experience with dual coils...not really interested.
I also have a Mini Nauti which I quite like.
Thanks a lot!

here is some to look at - I have used the Kanger little single coil in most of these (bcc)
my FAV for a long time was the SMOK NBC, just an awesome design IMO (vivi nova style)
have a look...

Oooh, ooh, I know...

The Pico!

Oh, wait... that's already been said. No, honestly, it's my first choice for the Pico mod. Not only is it just too darn cute to use a Pico on a Pico, but it's a great tiny tank. Easy to build, extra choices when building (with my kit, you can use Joyetech CLR heads in place of the deck), adjustable airflow from very tight to almost DTL, has never leaked on me, and top fills. The only thing you've got to get past is the fear of building a coil in a plastic (I know, not just any plastic) chamber... Oh, and no tank crackers.

$10.89 Pico Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 3ml / 316 stainless steel + PEI / 22mm dia. at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I do not have it (yet), but have heard great things about the Kayfun Mini 3, too.

$10.41 Kayfun Mini V3 Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 2ml / 304 stainless steel + glass at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

The Theorem is not really going to be either pocket friendly or MTL... sorry... Neither will the Avocado... However, there are several small gennies, if you want to investigate that route. I have the Nectar on my Cloupor Mini +, and it's a nice vape. I'm running a cotton wick and a titanium coil.

The Goblin Mini can be a fair MTL, and wicking is not that hard, after all... wick it Kayfun style... Bunny ears, trim, and tuck. I've got the V1 and the V2 and rarely have a leak using this method.

There are also several Subtank Mini clones that have been reduced to 2 or 3 ml, use the V2 Kanger RBA, and some offer top fill.

$8.39 SUBTANK Mini Styled Tank Clearomizer - 3ml / RBA coil head 0.5ohm / stainless steel + glass at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I've not used, but have heard decent things about, the Tube RTA. I think this might not be very good at a true MTL. Looks a little like a cross between a Monster V2 with the Drop Kit and a Kayfun V4.
$11.03 Tube Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 3.5ml / stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

One last suggestion... If you have a Kabuki or a Nautilus Mini (or full size), there is a new RBA available for those.
VVTF KABUKI RBA DECK NAUTILUS RBA DECK V2 REBUILDABLE COILS HEADS ATTY

At the very least, that'll give you something to look at...
