Subtank 22 Airflow-Reduzierung RBA

German manufacturer with very high shipping costs to the US :(

Here is a german DIY (use google translate; you can ask me if there are any problems with it) with pics:
Geschmack durch Airflow Mod | Besser Labern Ohne Grund

A bunch of months ago I did kinda the same thing using the bottom silicone grommet of Protank coil. I shoved the grommet down the air tube of the subtank mini by about a sixteenth of an inch from the top, thus reducing the diameter of the subtank's air hole.It works beautifully. :)

That's definitely the key. Commit to a style and type of gear.
I tried to do that. I tried to only have PT2 clearos. But, then I fell in love with the Vision Victory. So, that made 2 kinds. Plus, I have Aro2 clearos. I mainly collect the coils for those for use with my Sabot though. Plus, of course, BVCs for my Billet Bridge. And, I have a few others from my days of experimentation.

But, I try!

Thank you! I may just try the Subtank after all.

@3mg Meniere - Just grabbed 3 more Nemmys at Mt Oak Vapers.... Monster, MONSTER I tell you!!!!!!

I'll need to get another package of copper contact pins now (at least I got 10 sets of magnets o_O )
Yup. I got one, too. Now I will have six, not including "Ninny" in 18350 mode with inline ohmeter. I won't be using Ninny for regular vaping. Did you get a rainbow one? I got a brass one.
Ordered two packages of contact pins today from Vape Royalty. Already have a spare topcap and bottomcap.

A heads up for Canadian members:

There is a *very* good chance of a postal strike in July. Word on the street is it could be a long one...4 - 6 weeks?

For obvious reasons this would really mess up any ordering online.

This isn't 100%, however, it is not looking good.

I got two rainbows and one more SS. I have 2 more en route from FT (tracking indicates "acceptance" in China - I'm guessing at least another week before getting anywhere close to me.) I wanted the HCigar, but when I tried ordering, it indicated out of stock. Went with the other kind.

I'm LOVING my Subtank Mini with a 1.6Ω PT2 head on my Nemmy right now. Looks sleek, and hits quite well. I put a vape band around the locking ring, and now it's quite easy to spin it to lock/unlock :)

Just curious - I never hear any mention of the Protank 3's. Any reason? C-r-r-a-a-p?

I believe these use dual coil heads. I'm not "amused" by those. I *think* the chimney is a touch higher than a PT2, to give room for the 2nd coil configuration. I also *think* that if you want to use the single-coil PT2 heads, you probably need a 2nd grommet (flipped upside down) to prevent/minimize leaking.

I have a few mini's kicking around here. I don't like the dual coils and with a single coil in them the vape was to warm for my liking.

I've adopted an ignorance is bliss attitude about mech mods. Still have a lot to learn about the regulated stuff. Some day I'm going to ask someone to explain the whole mech mod deal and if I'm right to be scared of them.

In a short answer.
The risk is dependent on what ohms you build your coils. If you do not subohm your risks are much lower. You do need good batteries and you must make sure your atty does not have a dead short. You can use what most of us do and that's a kick. It gives you the safety of a regulated device in a mech mod.

LOL - 3mg, I thought you were referring to color? Forgot the "brand" was "Rainbow Heaven"
I was referring to color. Yes, I guess the colorization is a featured item in that brand.

It is a fond name for an old-fashioned old reliable.

Nemmys can be kicked in 18650 mode. That makes them almost regulated, and very safe. No reason to be afraid of them.
